Weekly Roundup 227 - Gas Trap Art and Effects

Some great progress made this week with making and implementing a number of art assets and effects associated with the in-dungeon trap. Let's get into them!
1: What's New?
I started off this week with making the artwork for the trap itself. It's a gas dispensing trap that comes up from under the floor.

When the player gets too close the trap springs. It takes a moment to activate and the gas appears around it.
Once you're inside the gas you have a few seconds to get out.
I think the gas effect turned out really good! There's about 5 different gas animations and each square randomly uses one. They mildly overlap as well to help with the effect.
If you don't leave the gas or take too long to disable the trap in enough time, the gas knocks out the Bindmancer and you'll be taken to the wall-encounter trap sequence.
The trap can be defeated and disabled. Although it has a large health-pool so going in and attacking without a few upgrades or moving out of the gas will mean your peril. >:3

2: What's Next?
We're getting close to the wall trap encounter and gas trap getting into a released build. What's left is to go through and make environment tiles where this trap can be placed into. As well as assigning rewards for defeating it. And finally to make some art of the wall trap for the in-game dungeon so your character can appear there once the encounter is defeated.
I'd say I should be able to get that done in two weeks.
