yes, france is okay :D
Added 2024-07-09 18:14:21 +0000 UTCWell, depends what you call "okay".
BUT!!!!!
Last Sunday there was an incredibly important election going on and the far-right was VERY close to winning and start ruling the country I'm from :OOO
So I'm very, very, very happy to say that the Popular Front that was made to fight it WORKED and in spite of all odds, the left actually came first place in the polls :OOOOOOOO
BUT!!!!
Nothing's over yet. It's still very fucked in many ways (no thanks to our fucking $#*% of a president ୧((#Φ益Φ#))୨!!!) and the far-right has still gained so much in power, despite everything, and there's much to do still to save democracy (amongst other things)...!!
... but at least we can breathe a bit for now.
The worse has definitely been avoided, for now.
Let's keep up the courage ╰(´︶ `)╯♡

And hopefully soon the United States can give our own far-right the rubbing it deserves.

2024-07-13 14:11:20 +0000 UTC40% is an nonsense, they never had more than 30% of trump loyalists in the entire country, and they’re not gaining any new voters at this stage. Not with project 2025 circulating online.

2024-07-11 21:37:12 +0000 UTCOnly 40% are still loyal to Trump and we will probably see record numbers not voting for president or Republicans who are MAGA from Republicans who are On Nicky Halley route and will never vote Democrat. A bunch of Gen Z and Late 1995--1996 Millennials are when doing polls screwing with them or are not voting or President but are forced in polls either be undecided or pick a side especially from Fox News polls who can't see we have independent voters and people not allowed to vote.

2024-07-11 04:37:38 +0000 UTCThe FP has won in France, the Tories have been disloged from power in Britain, and the progressive coalition is holding on in Spain. Honestly, it could be a *lot* worse.

2024-07-10 14:57:17 +0000 UTCFrance has given me renewed hope for the US.

2024-07-09 22:16:59 +0000 UTCThe English vote was a foregone conclusion, and French voters turned out in record numbers. I'm hoping America manages to pull off the triple, but of the three, it's the one most likely to fail. After the Supreme Court's majority 'opinion' that the president is king, the whole world will feel the effects if Putin's patsy returns to the White House. But if enough people don't fall foul of America's multi-tiered voting shenanigans, they should be able to turn things around just like France did.

2024-07-09 18:43:48 +0000 UTCYea, even here in the states, people are starting to realize that regardless of Biden or anyone else winning, MAGA and those stupid saps who prey on them and those who blindly follow, will not go away anytime soon. This will be a hard and bitter fight for some time to come.

2024-07-09 18:33:12 +0000 UTCSounds familiar. Wish us luck in the States, we could use it.

2024-07-09 18:29:48 +0000 UTCI was SO happy and relieved to hear the news. Well done everyone! The forces of reaction and greed will have been absolutely FURIOUS about this result, and they WILL come after the new government and try to bring it down. The movement must stand firm, and be ready to defend itself. For a better world! Let's keep up the courage! :)
