Sorry for not posting for a while! For the past month and a half I've been working mostly on making it possibly to zoom-out the world map beyond 0.5x without sacrificing performance and visual quality, which requires a lot of optimization, rewriting map rendering, restructuring of the map data in runtime, introducing new types of cache, as well as many other technical things. While I am doing all that, I've also been releasing smaller, mostly bug-fix, updates, which I didn't find interesting enough to post here about. Although here is one of those smaller updates that is pretty visual.
I am redesigning the entity dots for better consistency with the style of entity icons/heads, as well as better visibility on different backgrounds, and better scalability. There will be a setting added with an option for the old dot style, so do not worry, if you prefer that.
I have also redesigned the deathpoint icon to better match the style of the rest of the waypoints. I have gone through a lot of designs before arriving at these ones that I like, so it was honestly more work than it looks. I even spent some time redesigning all waypoints, but ended up rewinding everything back. Designing interface elements is always very exhausting for me, but I think that small details like this are very important, so it is worth the time. Would love to hear your feedback!
