2021-08-16 23:38:49 +0000 UTCyes i was going to bring that up! in terms of technical skill none of them are too interesting but i find it quite charming, in its own way. the first season was still getting its footing, so there are 3 or 4 different opening themes, many of which are very good (i don’t like the one where they just talk over the intro music though).

He accuses him of being a George Lazenby fan and gets kicked out of the room. I believe its the Melon Cop episode which is perfect for your formula.

The reason ai'm commenting though is that there isn't only the one lupin theme - the theme for the first season is also kind of amazing, if less musical - give it a listen, it's aggressively its own thing.

On the subject of Bond-adjacent material, would y'all consider doing a podcast on the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Our Man Bashir"? The entire 45 minute runtime was so explicitly a James Bond send up (in the holodeck, natch) that the Flemming estate actually sued Paramount to get them to stop from making any further episodes.
