S2E13.5: Equilibrium

It's the second best trenchcoat action gun martial arts movie about being transgender produced in the early 2000s! And boys, there's a bit of a fucking gap between first and second place in this ranking.

In a world where emotion is outlawed, one man will change everything by learning that it's okay for men to cry sometimes as long as they are still capable of doing fucking sick cool nasty gun kung fu....

at time of writing, when you google the word "art" (on firefox mobile anyway), the mona lisa is the third result. the first result is starry night, though, and the second an advertisement for an art theft poster printing company depicting a giant stylized eyeball. i feel like Google and this film being agreed upon what "art" is means something but i don't have a coherent thesis about it beyond nodding along with Alice

Peter Paul Rubens' Muse

I mean to be fair the wildly political art would probably be the first art gone after. Of course they're gonna go after Fahrenheit 451 first, that ones about how what they do is bad. The Mona lisa doesn't say anything about the inherent value of art, why should they rush to destroy it

Public Universal Foe

hey, just so you know, this episode download is coming up as a link rather than a file. can't figure out how to download it.

You bastards, you actually made me watch this. And it was bollocks. Like a dark, gritty reboot of The Lego Movie, but in a bad way
