This week on the Kill James Bond Bonus feed, November and Abi are alone again, they've each received a powerful electric shock granting them a sort of sex-based telepathy, and they're finally going to get to the bottom of exactly what it is... that women want.

FREE PALESTINE

Hey, Devon here. For the past few months I've been talking to a family trapped in Gaza, working to hit their gofundme for passage out of Rafah whenever the crossing reopens. Their names are Ahmed and Layla, and their 4 kids Jana, Malik, Lana and Amir. While the crossing might be closed, the situation is changing by the day and being able to afford passage out when a crossing reopens is an immense comfort.

S3E24.5 What Women Want

Comments

It would be funny if the movie was actually trans-inclusive and he was able to read trans-womens minds too, but they just never acknowledge that they are trans.

So, November's comment about romance being "how hard can they punch me" kind of reminds me of a trans woman I knew in Aberystwyth who at the time went by the name of Alice. The person I'm talking about, when leaving Aberystwyth, basically said that she was going to have to go back deep into the closet for reasons. I don't know if November is the person I'm talking about, and I don't want an answer on here, but if she is, I'd just like to say I'm glad she was able to escape the closet once more.

hectorgrey

keir starmer looking respectfully

Twi

sluts arent real??? noooo!!!!

Arthropod_Queen

I really enjoy the Starmer impressions by old mate on the Trashfuture podcast, would also love it to be a regular feature here

Carly

I constantly cite this podcast as a great example of a work created by people with a strong and sincere ideological leaning that nevertheless manages to be nuanced, broad minded, entertaining and intelligent. I'd be rather more conservative than the hosts and I absolutely love this podcast.

Ross Nolan

Coming from November and Riley discussing Echopraxia to this gives some *very* different meaning to the two office cougars not having internal monologues he can read

-Kris-

I’m sorry that it’s cliche and probably hard to do bc it’s such a new movie but we will need the bonus episode on I Saw The TV Glow plz thank you

Maxwell Dziabis

Holy shit, I started with episode one last August and finally caught up today! Looking forward to the upcoming fames heist season and all that it entails <3

Laura

I'm not saying that Keir Starmer needs to become a recurring character, but it would be appreciated because the impressions are good.

Manuel Kiguel

Professor XXX

Joanna Vetulani

Many such cases

KrevmhsHorn

I haven't seen this movie in probably 20 years, because my mom has a crush on Mel Gibson and I do not.. But I remember this movie being both intriguing and uncomfortable, and I'm starting to realize why. I also had a massive panic attack in my car after watching I Saw The TV Glow and only calmed down when I bought a binder online. That's probably nothing, right?

Elaine

I am also an absolute sucker for ‘The Homer Simpson school of father of daughtersing’ plot lines

BobinaBobinaton

The milkshake jog is actually my personal worst nightmare and I think I would have combusted on the spot.

HAUNTER

Oh gosh a summer of love with not just the wonderful world of romcoms but some absolutely classic romance films that make people cry like Death Takes A Holiday and People Will Talk would be so exciting

Mags

Ah yes, the 00's pc homophobia-loophole. You can be as homophobic as you like, JUST AS LONG as the person you're being homophobic about isn't ACTUALLY gay.

Ronin Fredricson

for the record I believe my mother had a crush on him as a teenager but I think he just looks okay. So I think his sex appeal is a "you had to be there" moment.

Strike3

Listening to Abi and Nove rhapsodize about the housing, I kept wanting to edit in a comment about how common people didn't live in those places in 2000 either. It's a Nancy Meyers movie. All of them have architecture porn*! *Particularly kitchens.

Hugh Kearney

Every woman in the movie is miserable and pissed off, except for the two cougar bimbos who have achieved Nirvana

Noblesse Oblahaj

One thing that I love about this podcast is how y’all still mention enjoying things that are still not politically correct. It’s a rare showing of nuance and “I acknowledge its faults but still can get enjoyment out of it” that feels like the world is lacking more and more. Also. If Summer of Love is on the table I once again submit The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, there’s a lot to say about Burt Reynolds’ character in regards to how he treats Dolly Parton and the Chicken Ranch itself. Or rather, lack of addressing it that’s fascinating in and of itself.

Rune

Between this, and James spaders character in the American office, I actually love polo shirt under suit jacket look. Hell, I think James spaders character actually had a collarless shirt with just those three buttons at the top.

Andrew Dunn

I like how the first joke at IStTVG's expense got a genuine laugh out of Abi, the second joke passed without comment, and the third joke got Abi audibly annoyed at Alice. That is the correct progression!

Rhiannon M

A great companion piece to this would be Forty Days and Forty Nights

Katie Brobst

If the women simply plugged the controller in the player two slot to avoid this.

Charlie Lightning

Nope

noxamillion

Summer of 💕love would be amazing!!

Kat

Have you considered the likely prospect that there was no slur under the bleep? Assuming this is the "stop dating ____" bit.

Eric Brennan

Desperately Seeking Susan is the best rom com adjacent film of all time. It's also about a thousand times more progressive than this one and set in proper New York. Please please include it in any summer of love. I love you all.

Cate Kneale

That is good. I have a whole thing about how it's about subject and object but I can't remember it now. Absolutely beautiful film as well.

Cate Kneale

Romance suggestion for insight into GenX masculinity: Say Anything.

Ben Schwabe

Re-upping my hope that you cover Tootsie one day, it's about gender AND acting!

Ros Ballinger

I was waiting for the "She's transsexual" drop the whole damn time, much respect for resisting the temptation I wouldn't have. I am once again waving a huge banner that simply reads C.R.A.Z.Y. by Jean-Marc Vallée. I swear it's a good film! It has so much to say about Québec's stoic masculinity/father archetype, catholic guilt over one's sexuality, shame over a child's "feminine traits and emotions", growing up with multiple siblings and the straining of relationships, it's just. So good. If you don't like it and I make a fool of myself I'll send you more money or something.

Prince Jade

I don't see, given the baseline premise of this movie, how that could possibly entail anything besides a two-hour marathon of successive sex scenes. "What do women want? idk, emotion?" "What do men wa-SEX BOOBIES ASS AND VAGOOBER PEEPEE HARD GO AWOOGA"

Candy H

creating the ultimate gender soup to maximize psychic potential

Candy H

the Liv Agar bit is like a t-slur-seeking missile

Candy H

Thank you for watching a movie I've always avoided and explaining it to me.

SpookyPenguin

It was a funny bit but if y’all feel the need to censor whatever slur you used, you probably shouldn’t be throwing it out there in the first place

Jacqueline Saunders

Praying for Portrait of a lady on fire in the kill James Bond summer of love

Gabrielle

here's what god would look like if she were black or chinese

Dylan Frese

Gosh Romance Season and what romance says about men! Gotta include shit like Hitch and Wedding Crashers, maybe Ghosts of Girlfriends Past? Don't know if I'd suggest 27 Dresses or if I'd suggest a whole Katherine Heigl season lol.

Sara Amorosi

About saying all the names: is it weird to say I actually really appreciate it? Like I'd contribute regardless but there's something about it that makes it feel more like a community of cool weirdos rather than a collection of slightly-monied fans. That said clearly there's a limit, there has to be, and I don't envy you for having to work out what it is or what to do when you get there

Palpable Pips

I may have overlooked it, but has the Kingsman series been covered?

Consider Q-ing up TrashFuture’s Operation Clippy

I hate to say it but I now kinda want to see this movie more than I saw the TV glow lol

Lain of the Wired

A Hitchcock-style thriller with big SPECTRE energy

Drew Flanagan

ever thought about doing The Boys from Brazil?

Drew Flanagan

"I should wear bigger underpants and stop being a slut" Baby steps abigail.

Christopher Barnes

Really would love to see Romance Season discuss 13 Going On 30, an inexplicable film that had a grip on my teen pre-transition self

A.E. Ross

Why do you do this to yourself

Ineloquent Reverie

I have to say, most times when I've seen a romcom I never understand who would fuck the guy in it. Like have you seen and Dean Martin films? The man was made of baseball gloves, yet women went nuts over him? Incomprehensible.

Jason Young

Masters of our domain crossover

Alfie Hall

This was one of the, like, five movies we owned when I was a kid. Mask of Zorro was one of the other ones.

Andrew Dunn

gotta do the 2019 sequel, What Men Want, next. In the name of gender equality.

Scott Brayton

oh my god this fucking movie lmao

Andrew Clark

GIRLS' NIGHT!!!
