The story of STUD
Added 2022-05-18 23:41:21 +0000 UTCStud was an interesting shoot. Eamon is a model I'd spoken to for a while before we made the shoot happen and I was nervous. Nervous not because I wasn't sure of the concept or the setup but because I'd heard from other photographers that he had bad skin and that he had a tendency to cancel last minute.
I made sure to let him know that I'd spent money booking the studio and couldn't lose that money. He did tell me he'd had a breakout with his skin and when he arrived that was certainly the case. I spent many many hours retouching the acne on his body and his face. Ultimately the shoot was one I am very happy with.
It is quite entertaining how many people have asked if the studs on his body are real. The answer is no. We stuck those on and I think it looks fantastic. Perhaps if we work together again I'd explore the body modification idea more. It looks great on him.
Eamon has reached out recently wanting to shoot again. He's put on quite a lot of size in the gym since this shoot and he's also gone to prison for extortion as the head of a bikie gang. Is it worth getting involved again? I don't know.
He tells me his skin is much improved now that he's a bit older and I'm curious about photographing his new, more muscular body.
