Whether we realise it or not, we are all conditioned in one way or another to believe different things. Now I'm not talking flat-earth conspiracy theories but more subtle and less bizarre ways. This shoot with Sean was one that highlighted this for me. Often on a shoot the model, especially if they aren't particularly experienced posing for a photographer, will keep doing what they think is sexy.
Sean is part of the world that I'll call gently goth. He wears corsets, harnesses, pvc trousers, boots and eyeliner when he's going out for a night out and it looks great on him. Along with that goth vibe, however came a tendency to do hand positions and looks on his face that were slightly "menacing" sexy.
Considering he wasn't really up for full nudity and we'd opted for a gender-f*ck g-string, tutu and boots look it was fun to play off of that. He was an interesting character to work with. He keeps disappearing from Twitter/X and I believe he had an onlyfans at one point but I can't find it. These images certainly weren't my usual style but he was one of three models I worked with that day and if they were all the same then it would have been a bit repetitive.
