Touring with Sylvain!
Added 2023-09-19 12:19:40 +0000 UTCFor the last week I’ve teamed up with Sylvain to tackle a section of the Baltic forest trail from Riga to Kuldiga.
He’s already been on the road for 3 months, slowly making his way from France to his home in Estonia.
While my 27.5’’ MUni is pretty well optimised for the the rougher terrain, Sylvain’s 36er is much more of a road machine, so it’s been impressive to see what he’s been able to cope on the larger wheel!
Two unicyclists coincidentally touring in the same area at the same time is a serious rarity, so I’m grateful that Sylvain decided to alter his original route to make these few days of travelling together happen!
As I write this we’re currently hiding out from the rain in a small cafe in Renda, but are aiming to roll into the city of Kuldiga tomorrow. From there we’ll split paths; him to Venspils and me south towards the Lithuanian border!
