Brandon Aiyuk Super Bowl Full-Game Analysis

He's briefly covered some of McCarthy, particularly in their latest playoff loss, in criticizing called plays. It's also not quite so logical to break down a QB's play including his O-line because not all of them operate the same. The Chiefs and 49ers are a perfect example of this, where Mahomes will constantly change up plays and call out blocking schemes while the 49ers don't have Purdy do anything remotely like this. Not all QBs are relied upon to make O-line scheme calls.

There's plenty to learn even without knowing the intricacies of how a coach expects the QB to read the play. I doubt any coach would ever tell a QB to not make those deep throws because of how advantageous it is for the offense even if they don't connect on them.

Need a cut up of your responses every time Shanny goes with the 5 yards deep wide out.

Thanks for this and for throwing it up on YouTube. It’s more mobile device friendly.

Love this idea of non-QB breakdowns - maybe a cool project in the future involving non-QB breakdowns would be a joint breakdown of a QB and his O-Line, diving deep on individual drives. Could invite someone like Duke Manyweather or Brandon Thorn. Maybe the Cowboys would be interesting for this? • Duke works/worked with most, if not all of the Cowboys offensive linemen, so he knows them and their techniques well (and I'm sure some of their coaching philosophies in Dallas). • Dak had an MVP-caliber season, but there is going to be both good and bad to break down from a QB perspective. • I remember reading somewhere that Mike McCarthy was your first offensive coordinator, so even if his offense has changed, there are probably some coaching philosophies and foundational principles that have remained the same over time, and you would have great insights that the general public does not have. • Most importantly, Cowboys content drives clicks and engagement (for better or for worse).

fair. except for the deep opps that were passed on imo.

Wasn't Kittle dealing with a shoulder injury this game? I assume that's why he wasn't being involved in the passing game

I appreciate your effort to crank out the quality content. But what I learned from this is the he is a good blocker, they run a lot, and the ball gets spread around. As you pointed out several times, without knowing how Shanahan is teaching the read/progression, there is not much to learn.

i went a lil crazy. i was just legit curious.

My first reaction is....Wow...a Patreon Sunday video!

Haven’t even started watching yet and would absolutely LOVE more breakdowns of receivers. Hell yes
