New Tier Ideas

Hello, everyone! On March 19th a post was made talking about tier changes. This post shows what will most likely be the new stuff for a while. Only the $1 tier will remain, but everyone gets to stay in their current tier as long as you want even when they're no longer displayed on the Patreon page.

In other words, you don't have to do anything, and your current tier will still be good to you. Nobody else will be able to join that tier after the new ones are launched.

So, if anyone was on the fence about upgrading tiers, now may be a good time before the changes take affect.

Here are the new tier ideas for those who are interested:

$1 a Month Tier

•Weekly Video Lessons

•Tabs for each lesson in Guitar Pro 6, 7, and PDF formats

$15 a Month Tier

•Everything in the $1 Tier

•All eBooks that Have Been Released

•Previews of Upcoming Lessons When Available

•Previews of all Upcoming Instruction Course Material

••These courses include a beginner course, legato course, bends course, finger-tapping course, and a rhythm course

$45 a Month Tier

•Everything in the $1 and $15 Tiers

•One 30 Minute Skype Lesson Each Month

•A Meet and Greet Before the First Lesson to Evaluate How/What You Currently Play and Discuss How Your Lessons Should Go
•A Video Recap of Each Lesson (basically a personal video lesson covering your lesson material)

$65 a Month Tier

•Everything in the $1 and $15 Tiers + the Meet and Greet + The Video Recaps

•60 minute (or two 30 minute) Skype lesson each month

$125 a Month Tier

•Everything in the $1 and $15 Tiers + the Meet and Greet + The Video Recaps

I actually had something in mind for all the free stuff once I get a certain amount out there. Most of the free stuff is all from lesson material I've given to students, so a big picture thing is kind of in the works, and will be for a while. Right now isn't the right time to organize everything, and most of those old YouTube videos don't reflect the style I'd like to continue with at the moment. So, most likely, the majority of those old videos will just be left alone.

That's the reason why I suggest a single site, it would be more attractive and more effective in gathering new "students", joining the forces of the current 3 sites into a single one that offers a clear layout of the didactic material. I think it could become the didactic reference about Metal Guitar, considering John's skill level and dedication.

I still think it would be better to keep the big courses out of the low end tiers. I do like the idea of reorganizing all the stuff from youtube, MHS site and patreon in an easy to follow linear way. But were to put all the material? Patreon? MHS site? Youtube? I don't know the answer to that question. But having mulitple sites and keeping them updated and well organized is time consuming.

considering the quantity and quality of your didactic material, I mean not only all the patreon weekly lesson but all the good free stuff on the mile high website and the you tube lessons, you could think abt re organize all the material in the most logical and linear way possible, setting a very accessible entrance fee to all the stuff and to the up coming lessons and courses, something like a 5 USD a month, and keep the higher tiers for skype lessons, individual coaching and so on
