7 Years Behind - Stepping Back to Move Ahead

In order to move forward in the big plans I have for Mile High Shred, I've decided to pull back on what happens here at Patreon.

Video lessons are going to decrease from once a week to once a month. This is to free up enough time for me to really really REALLY devote some serious effort into finishing those big ass instruction courses.

For the past couple of weeks I've been seriously busting my butt to get ahead with the video lessons for Patreon. I've been working to get ahead so I'm not stressin' out over starting and finishing a new video each week. Unfortunately, whether I get ahead with these lessons or not, I still feel I don't have adequate time in order to get the large instruction courses finished in a timely manner.

Because of this, I've decided that in order to get the big work done, I have to change my focus/priorities once again. And, to help put things into perspective, I feel like I'm basically 7 years behind on how much work I should have done. That's a lot. And, I'm fixing it.

After lesson number 100 is released (there are currently 97) I will be putting out a new video lesson on the first Friday of each month.

The $1 tier will remain the same, plus early release of all tabs for upcoming lessons.

The current $10 tier will become the $5 tier. I feel this is more fair since lessons will be released only once per month instead of once per week.

A new $10 tier will have everything it currently does, plus a video lesson correspondence program. This is basically a way for people to get lessons pretty cheap. Basically, we start with a meet and greet to talk about where you are as a guitar player, and where you'd like to be. After that, I give you one thing to work on, and when you are ready, you send a video performance of the lesson. Then, I send you a new thing to work on. Repeat, repeat, repeat. This goes on as long as you are still a part of the $10 tier.

These tier updates will be in effect by the end of August.

After all the instruction courses are finally completed and released, I'll be getting back to putting out video lessons more often, as well as getting back to making YouTube content which will be higher quality production, and goofier; much like the direction things were going before I put all that on hold.

Everyone who has been a part of this Patreon group, no matter how long, has been very helpful in getting this Mile High Shred project to where I want it to be. Thank you all for your support.

Now, it's time to get back to work, and get these instruction courses completed and released!

Thank you! Today will begin the recording of all the audio tracks for the first upcoming course I intend on releasing by the end of the year.

I support your decisions. I will soon be upgrading to the 5 dollar tier and then the 10 too...i love the idea of instructional video exchange. Good luck with those courses, I am eagerly waiting for their release :D

Thank you very much for the kind words! Learning to be smart with my time has been a big challenge for me over the years. Learning what I must put aside in order to move forward in the most effective way possible has not been easy.

John I totally understand this change of direction and you have my support. A quality lesson a month is worth so much more than a dollar or five. Add to that a backlog of 100 quality lessons and what you have is enough material to keep one occupied for a years. Time is such a limited resource unfortunately. One can only do so much....
