Unfortunately not. This is also covered in the FAQ, see here: https://www.flapkan.com/faq#mobile-support

Hi is there anyway for the sheet work on the iPad Pro? Sorry if this has been asked.

Thomas

Depending on your character and your spell selection, there might just be nothing else for the sheet to display on your spell sheets. Unfortunately, with the very little information you gave, I can't tell why this is happening and/or if something is wrong. Normally I would ask you to send me a copy of the sheet so I can look for myself, but I'm currently on holiday and have very limited internet access. I can look at it when I get home. In the meantime, I can suggest asking your question over on the MPMB Discord server. There you can find many very helpful people who do have access to a PC/laptop to help you out. When you ask about your issue, do please include which version of the sheet you are using and give a step-by-step outline of how you can get a freshly downloaded sheet to display the issue you are having. That is guaranteed the most effective way for others to reproduce and help you with the problem. I always ask this when somebody has an issue with the sheet. Link to MPMB Discord server: https://discord.gg/Qjq9Z5Q

I cannot seem to get spell sheets. I've tried multiple times. The closest I came was to get a spell sheet that has up to level 2 spells, but doesnt have spaces/heading for level 3 or 4 spells (level 4 is my character's current limit). Can I get some help?

Brian M. Higbie

There is, see here: https://www.flapkan.com/how-to/upgrade-to-new-sheet

Is there a way to import data from an older sheet? is manual re-imput the only option?

Hope the family and the new baby are doing well

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the beta! The errors you see are all related, there is a singular semicolon missing in a function that is causing all of this, unfortunately! You can expect this to be fixed in the next version.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Thank you for updating for Tasha's! I am using (v13.0.7-beta1+210630) and I noticed that the race and feat spells above cantrip level do not display on the spell sheet (just a blank line shows up for each spell). Class spells seem to work fine. I was able to reproduce every time using a fresh downloaded sheet with only default scripts using different races and feats i.e. a Drow (faerie fire and darkness don't show up), Drow High Magic feat (No detect magic, levitate or dispel magic) and Tiefling (no 1st or 2nd level race spells), Pallid Elf (no sleep/invisibility), Fey Touched Feat (no 1st lvl spell or misty step). If I manually entered them in the blank space they would disappear again when I leveled the character up.

Paul

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the sheets! This is indeed a silly copy-paste error. Good catch, I totally missed it! I'll make sure it is fixed in the next version.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

the text for the bonus damage from the earth Genie warlock patron that displays in the Attacks field is misspelled, it look like you put in fire, then quickly typed in bludgeoning without first removing the fire

Richard William Sullivan

You are correct, almost nothing from MOT has been transcribed yet, including the Satyr. That's why it isn't announced as being done or included. It is in the list of sources because some subclasses appearing in it also appear in TCoE. Other than those two subclasses, nothing from MOT is available in the sheet at the moment.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Thank you for updating with Tasha's! It looks like the Mythic Odyssey of Theros (or whatever it is called) is included in the list of sources. However, Satyrs do not appear on the drop-down list of races. Nothing happens when I type in "Satyr" manually.

Jackie Magee

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the sheet. I'm unable to reproduce this problem. When I create a 6th-level ranger and select the optional class feature Deft Explorer using the Choose Feature menu, the Roving feature is added to the 3rd-page's Notes section as expected (and the changes pop-up says so as well). Can you please walk me through how to get this issue to show itself, starting with a freshly downloaded v13.0.6-beta2?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

In the v13.0.6-beta2 version. Roving (the 6th Level feature of Deft Explorer) doesn't seem to be on the sheet.

Jeremy Sprouse

The v13.0.6-beta1 release is mostly about the background code being updated. Everything released after February 2020 is still missing, except the 2020 errata (for SCAG, XGtE, and E:RftLW), and the Optional Class Features from TCoE for the Barbarian, Fighter, Ranger, and Paladin.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Tasha's doesn't seem to be able to interact with the Artificer from the Eberron source, more specifically the Armorer is also missing.

Jonny Miller

The Epic Boons are not part of the sheet. However, somebody did make an import script for them to add them as a feat named "Epic Boon". You can find that import script here: https://github.com/AelarTheElfRogue/MPMB/blob/master/Official/pub_20141209_DMG_EpicBoons.js For information how to add such an import script to your character sheet, see the How To section of my new website: https://www.flapkan.com/how-to/add-more-content/

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to add epic boons to the character sheet? I've not been able to find any way.

Keelan Gilmour

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! However, I'm unable to reproduce this issue, but maybe it is only with a specific background. When I select the Acolyte background and click the "Add Equipment" button on the second page and select "Acolyte's items and gold", 15 gp is added as expected. Can you walk me through how to get this issue to show itself, starting with a freshly downloaded v13.0.0.beta33?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hi! Just noticed the starting coin from backgrounds aren't preloading onto the sheet anymore. Im on Beta 33, on a Macbook.

Sean McInnes

It is intentional, well sorta. The drop-down boxes in dialogs work differently then the ones on the sheet. I would like to have them work the same way, but Acrobat simply doesn't support that. I had to use some work arounds to get the search functionality. Even if you type a perfect match, it will have to show a pop-up so that the drop-down box can be rendered correctly. If you press ENTER, then you confirm a dialog, thus bringing you to the next dialog in line. This also can't be changed. Use TAB to move to another field in the same dialog. This is also written in the spell selection dialog at the top left, but I understand it is easy to miss.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Noticed something with Beta 33 I'm not sure is a bug or intentional. With the spell selection dialog, when I'm typing something in the spell lookup combo box, there is no auto-complete and the combo doesn't open up to show what spell might be selected. When I tried typing a spell name in exactly and I believe I pressed enter, it brought up a dialog that said it found a partial match and asked me what to do. Then for some reason it brought me to the additional spells dialog.

Kid Zero Productions

To unequip a magic item from a known artificer infusion, simply remove that item from the magic items section. That way the infusion is shown on the 2nd page and you can re-requip the item at any time. For items that require attunement, it is even enough to just uncheck the attunement checkbox.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hi just to say this is amazing and really helps myself and my players focus on the characters and not the numbers during character creation. when it comes to artificers infusions the artificer is supposed to know more than they can equip. The features section (page 2) indicates the number they can know but if you click any it equips them. Not sure if there is an easy way to add a known but not equipped functionality

Philip

You are right! My bad, it was so long ago that I made that script for a Sorcerer-tier patron that I had totally forgotten about it. It and the "Path of the Sacred Kin" are the only parts of XLNtEE I ever touched. I made the script in January 2018 and since then there has been an update to the DMs Guild title, but I'm unsure what changed exactly. Regardless, I see that the Hagr - Vind rune always had "5 ×" and not "5 +", so it is definitely a mistake on my part. I'll fix it right now in the script on my GitHub!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hi Jason, I think you are using some 3rd-party content that was made by a fan, because I never made a script for Xanathar Lost Notes to Everything, as it isn't official WotC content. You would have to contact the author of that script and ask them why it isn't the same as in the book. Perhaps there was an update to the DMs Guild content since the script was made?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hmmmm I’ll go back and look but I was pretty sure it had your name on the creator section of the Reddit post for the Runeguard from Lost Notes. I’ll double check tomorrow :)

Jason Silver

Hey there. Im not sure where to post this.. On the Xanathar Lost Notes to everything for the Runeguard, one of the Runes (HAGR Vind) when imported to the sheet and this rune selected says ◆ Hagr - Vind (Runic Augmentation, XLNtEE 20) [1× per short rest] While active, I gain 5 ft + my Constitution mod in ft extra movement speed (min 5 ft) In the book, it says Your movement speed increases by a number of feet equal to 5 times your Constitution modifier (minimum 5 feet) My char has a con of 19, so +4, with the script, I only get 9 feet of movement, with the book I get 20. Appears to be a conflict? Just thought I would check..

Jason Silver

Thank you for reporting any bugs you find with the betas! I have found the issue and you can be assured it is fixed in the next version. It had to do with the " (R)" added to the ritual spells in the listing.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

MPMB's Character Record Sheet (v13.0.0.beta32) [Printer Friendly - Redesign], it seems that ritual spells are bugging and not showing up when selected. Tried with magic initiate feat, regular spell selecting, and multiclass. Maybe I'm missing something but I havent changed anything beside the versions change.

H P

That is correct, the Wild Shape pages are not calculated when changing values on them but instead only when you select a beast. There is a feature request to change this behaviour on Discord on which you can vote if you want.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I think this is intentional. Remember that encumbrance is a variant rule (https://5thsrd.org/rules/abilities/strength/#variant-encumbrance). If Dwarves can't be slowed down by armour, then the same is true when using the encumbrance rule.

Hayden Quinn

When making a character who is a dwarf the sheet seems to calculate encumbered speed wrong. I think this is maybe based on the line of text in the PHB saying "Your base walking speed is 25 feet. Your speed is not reduced by wearing Heavy Armor." but the sheet treats it like a dwarf can never, ever be slowed down by encumbrance. It says 25 feet of movement in both text boxes. I tested this with other races and it does it correctly.

Matthew Starkston

If I manually manipulate the wild shapes' attributes (strength, Dex, etc.) on the wild shape page, it doesn't appear to auto calculate the skills using the new value for the modifiers. The same appears to apply to the Attacks "To Hit" box and damage modifier along with passive perception. Hope you and the house are doing well!

Dustin Clark

Did you open the sheet in Adobe Acrobat? I'm asking because there seem to be some missing fields and only Adobe Acrobat can render them. For example, Chrome can't display this PDF correctly. Can you tell me how to reproduce this issue with a freshly downloaded PDF that you open in Adobe Acrobat?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

On the Colourful - A4 there are spots that are filled in with straight black. See Gyazo link. Thanks for another update. Love your stuff. https://gyazo.com/16ad7aacb7e3baa98793669a1ff79a0b

Henry HIll

Great to hear you like the betas. What fields are you tabbing between that causes the unresponsiveness? Note that if you change anything in a field and then tab to the next one, the sheet will, depending on the field, run some code to see if your changes affect anything on the sheet. For example, if you change the race, the sheet will apply the new race and that can take a little while. Also, whenever you change a field and tab out of it, the PDF will re-calculate all the fields (e.g. the ability score modifiers, attack bonus, spell attack modifier, basically anything that is a calculated score). If you have a lot of pages or a slow computer, that can take a little while (couple of seconds). Lastly, some fields have special actions when you tab out of them, like the equipment fields, that try to update the weight of the gear when you tab out of the field.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Oh damn, the beta is so quick at generating spell sheets compared to 12.999! One thing I did notice is that if you try and tab between fields it goes unresponsive for a good while.

Max Piper

Thanks for another update. Sorry about no feed back from me but I did not encounter any issues (or I just did not notice). Thanks for keeping this up to date!

R.S.I.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! Unfortunately, I'm unable to reproduce this problem. Making a 1st-level Bard and selecting to make a spell sheet with all spells and cantrips works as expected for me. It correctly adds the glossary at the end of the spell list. Can you please walk me through how to get the sheet to show the bug you are describing, starting with a freshly downloaded v13.0.0.beta29?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Seems there may be a bug with the spell sheet for me. When generating a spell sheet with all spells for a class (doesn't appear to matter which class), it seems to be adding the glossary over the first several rows of spells. If you hover over the glossary to remove it, it removes all of the spells it was covering along with it.

Dustin Clark

Hi Conor, For me to answer your question, I'm going to have to ask you to be a bit more specific. When you say "generating a full class spell list" are you talking about the option [1] under the Spell Options bookmark to "Make a 'Complete' Spell Sheet"? Or are you talking about the option [2] on the bottom right of the spell selection dialog, the radio button "Full class list (spells & cantrips)" in the "What Spells to Show?" section. Both are meant to be used to generate a level-independent spell sheet, one that you would print out once and use for the whole lifetime of the character. You'd use that instead of selecting the cantrips and spells the character knows at each level. In such a list, it doesn't really make sense to already have the cantrips scaled to a level because then you end up still printing a new one every couple of levels. That being said, if you go by the latter option [2], you will be given the option to have the cantrips be scaled to the current level of your character.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hi Joost! One issue with sheet - when generating a full class spell list the sheet doesn't give the option to scale cantrips to your level like generating a normal spell list does. Can this be added?

You can edit the base spells with a custom import script. You can simply redefine a spell that already exists, or just change a single attribute for it. You can find the syntax for spells here: https://github.com/morepurplemorebetter/MPMBs-Character-Record-Sheet/blob/master/additional%20content%20syntax/v13_WIP/spell%20(SpellsList).js You can find the code for all the SRD spells here: https://github.com/morepurplemorebetter/MPMBs-Character-Record-Sheet/blob/master/_variables/ListsSpells.js If I understand it correctly, you want some spells to be available for all spellcasting classes. To do that, you would have to edit the `classes` attribute of a spell object so that it includes all spellcasting classes. If we would want to do that for the fireball spell, for example, the code would look like this: SpellsList["fireball"].classes = ["bard", "cleric", "druid", "ranger", "paladin", "sorcerer", "warlock", "wizard"];

MorePurpleMoreBetter

As I promised in my last two v13 beta release posts ( https://www.patreon.com/posts/34817811 ), no feature or content updates will be done until v13 is released as stable. That being said, I have gotten so many requests for the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount that I might just do EGtW before v13 is finished. I'll have to put it up to a vote on Patreon though, so keep your eyes open for a poll about it!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I have learned how to add a custom spell to the scripts. Is there a way to edit the base spells? I'm playing in a "Harry Potter" homebrew where a DM supplied list of spells are now applicable for every class. Rather than entering them as whole new spells, it would be easier if I could just edit the spell in its current script to reflect "all" spellcaster lists. Is this possible?

Allen McNight

Hi Richard, Although I love adding new content to the sheet's automation, making the content fit in the sheet nicely takes a lot of time. Because of that, I limit myself to WotC content. Any other material will not become part of the sheet by default, but might become available on my GitHub if a Sorcerer-tier or higher patron makes a request or on the /r/mpmb subreddit if a fan writes a script for it. To get additional content for the sheet that isn't yet available, you have three options: 1) Become a Sorcerer-tier (or higher) patron and I will make one addition for you each month; 2) Ask somebody else to write the content for you. Requests are best made over at the /r/mpmb subreddit ( https://reddit.com/r/mpmb ); 3) Write the script yourself using the syntax on my GitHub ( https://flapkan.com/mpmb/syntax ). Don't forget to check if somebody else has already made the content you are looking for. The /r/mpmb subreddit is the best place to look for it ( https://reddit.com/r/mpmb ). I believe that the Pugilist class has been transcribed by some fans over at the /r/mpmb subreddit, but I'm unsure what state the code is in, if it is fully finished or not. In the past I have made some third-party content like the DMs Guild material by Matthew Mercer, but I currently have no plans of transcribing any other third-party material to be used with the sheet. Cheers, Joost (morepurplemorebetter)

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! Unfortunately, I'm unable to reproduce this problem. Making a 3rd-level Battle Master allows me to select the Maneuver and have it appear on the 3rd page without issue. Can you please walk me through how to get the sheet to show this bug, starting with a freshly downloaded v13.0.0beta28? If this is caused during importing from another sheet, can you please tell me what you filled out on the sheet you imported from?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Please understand that only official WotC content will become part of the sheet by default. So a Dhampir race will only be added if it ever is published by WotC. Other content you can import with the "Add Extra Materials" bookmark to import custom scripts. I know that several people have made different versions of a Dhampir race for import. I also made an import script for it, for a Sorcerer-tier subscriber. Different versions, because there is no official version and it really depends where you look for a homebrew version on what rules you are going to get. You can find such fan-made import scripts on my GitHub ( https://github.com/morepurplemorebetter/MPMBs-Character-Record-Sheet/tree/master/additional%20content ) as well as on the /r/mpmb subreddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/mpmb/ ). The script I made can be found here (the v13 version): https://github.com/morepurplemorebetter/MPMBs-Character-Record-Sheet/blob/master/additional%20content/v13/Races/Dhampir%20%5BDanDwiki%2C%20transcribed%20by%20MPMB%5D.js

I was hoping with this latest beta version the Dhampir race would have been added. Please add this if possible. Or please show me how I can add this on my own. I have an NPC villain that is following my group in my campaign and it is a pain to update this NPC on a manual sheet. Plus very limited on the back story and extras of this NPC.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! Can you tell me what version of the sheet you are importing from? And if you added any custom import scripts to the version you are importing from?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hey, I've got a very small, specific issue. When importing a Level 4 Circle of the Moon Druid with the optional UA Class Feature Variants (UA:CFV), the Wild Companion is not copied, and it cannot be added via the Choose Feature option. This has been in both Beta 27 and 28, and happens regardless of the version I am importing from. Maybe this is too minor to deal with, but thanks anyway!

Thanks for the new Beta13.28. Very happy that you are only bug-fixing because it definitely reduces the complexity of testing. Will let you know if we encounter anything.

Issue with v13.0.0beta27. I'm encountering an issue when generating a spell list for a Circle of the Shepherd Druid. No matter what level the druid is, it will only generate a spell list for level 1. I was just busy updating the links in the body of the post. Can you try again? Do the links in the attachment also not work for you?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Download of new Beta doersn't seem to work.

The sheet doesn't currently have any automation for the blessings and boons from the DMG. You will have to add their bonus manually. For the save you can do this with the modifier fields (whose visibility you can toggle with the "Modifiers" bookmark). For the AC bonus you can add it in the Misc AC bonus fields. EDIT: adding this to the sheet is actually a feature request over on Discord already. You can vote for it here: https://discordapp.com/channels/533350585706217494/631432292245569536 If it receives enough votes, I'll be sure to add it to the sheet!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

My character received a Blessing of Protection - is there a place to reflect that? Thanks!

Mark Morris

Thank you for putting the links up top! I love the new sheets keep up the great work!

Jess McGrath

This is indeed intentional, so that you can keep track of other things than just the hit points. Think of things like level of exhaustion, having a condition (e.g. 'poisoned'), etc. And that you will still have space left to write your HP mutations when the sheet is printed out.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

The firearms from the DMG are included in the sheet, but they are set to be excluded by default. To make them selectable and usable, open the Source Selection dialog and click the button for "Weapons/Attacks". In the dialog that opens next, set the firearms to be included.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! The older UA is indeed not compatible with the newer one because of the way its script was written at the time. I will make sure this is updated to work well together in the next version of the sheet.

There certainly is a way to avoid retyping everything. You can bring your character over from the old character sheet to a new sheet by opening the new sheet and clicking on the "Import/Export" bookmark and selecting to import directly from another MPMB character sheet. This will open a dialog with the steps to follow to bring your character over to the new sheet.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I love your work and gladly support it! It is really awesome. Your attention to detail is really nice. I do appreciate all you do. Now that there is a new beta version, how do I move from the previous version to the new one without retyping everything? I looked but cannot find it on your page. I am sure I am missing it, because I have no doubt you thought of moving characters from version to version. Thanks again for a great product.

Gerald Hamm

Really glad that Beta23 is out and I really appreciate the work that you do. For the magic items the Armblade (any weapon choice) the description shows up as below I was using the longsword as the weapon choice. While attuned to it, this magic double-bladed scimitar is attached to my arm and inseparable from me. As a bonus action, I can retract it into my forearm or extend it from there. While it is extended, I can use the longsword as if I was holding it, and I can't use that hand for other purposes.

Gavitias

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! However, I'm unable to reproduce this problem. After I generate a spell sheet with Poison Spray selected as one of the artificer cantrips and add Poison Spray to the first page, the intelligence modifier is added to the damage as expected. Perhaps you didn't select the cantrip as one of your artificer cantrips in the spell selection dialog? If that is not the case, can you please walk me through how to get the sheet to show this issue, starting with a freshly downloaded sheet?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

So happy Beta23 is already out! I have found a bug RE:Artificer however. Poison Spray doesn't load Alchemical Savant's Int bonus to the damage amount in the Attacks fields. It's not a big one, but I thought you'd like to know. Keep up the amazing work :)

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! I'll make sure this is fixed in the next version.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

My apologies if this has been reported already. v13.0.0beta22 - PHB Ranger, Favored Enemy no longer appears from the Choose Feature drop-down context menu.

David Whittle

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! However, this is not a bug but intentional. When you include the UA:RR source, the sheet will use the revised ranger rules. And because the Class Feature Variant rules offer variants for the PHB ranger and not for the revised ranger, you won't get any option to select variants if you are making a revised ranger.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! I'm working on getting a bug- and feature-tracker set up on Discord that connects with the GitHub, more on that later. I will fix the missing spells for Primal Awareness. They will however not appear in the limited feature section because I don't list the once per long rest spells there due to space concerns (e.g. the once per rest spells from Eldritch Invocations also don't appear in the limited features section). Instead, those spells have "1× LR" listed in their first column on the spell sheet.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Excellent Job! A bug I found: Cannot choose Ranger class variants from UA:CFV if UA:RR is loaded. Kind of a non-issue really as CFV variants are much better than the revised Ranger changes from the earlier attempt by WOTC to fix the class, but I though I would mention it. This is easily fixed by the user simply choosing which one to have loaded.

Liam McKanna

I believe Ranger Primal Awareness variant should add spells to the bonus spells (under Hunter's Mark if you've chosen to use Favored Foe variant). Unless I've missed something it doesn't seem to be auto-adding them. I'm not 100% positive, but should they also go into the Limited Features section since you can cast them once per LR without expending a slot? Do you prefer GitHub issues for reporting?

Ryan B

A great job yet again, MPMB! So excited to use these new features at my table, you are a hero

Thank you for reporting any errors you find with the sheet. Please try re-downloading the sheet. I noticed this error just after I uploaded the sheet and quickly fixed it and uploaded an updated version.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce this error. I think it could be related to the import scripts in you v12.999 sheet. Upon importing a character from an old sheet to a new sheet, any import scripts that are not present in the new sheet (comparison is by script name) are also brought over. Might it be that your v12.999 sheet has any import scripts other than the one named "all_WotC_pub+UA.min.js"? You are welcome to send me (a link to) your old sheet so I can have a look for myself. Also, it would be helpful to know the version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC you are using (you can find it under Help >> About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC). EDIT: or might it be that you manually added some v12.999 import scripts to your v13.0.0beta21 sheet (e.g. the ones found in the top post on the /r/mpmb subreddit)? I am asking, because the error seems to very much stem from the fact that the beta is getting fed a version of the tough feat that is made for v12.999 and incompatible with the latest beta.

Correction - the Marine background works but the feature, "Steady" has no description below. This is fixable if the Ghosts of Saltwater Marsh is selected as a source material.

Janice Lamb

In the latest beta, MPMB's Character Record Sheet (v13.0.0beta21) [Colorful - Letter].pdf, the final Triton spell, Wall of Water, does not load into the spell book. I've tried to allow various sources but no luck. The spell generator sheet shows the level 1 spell, Fog Cloud, and the level 2 spell, Gust of Wind, but the level 3 slot, which should read "Wall of Water" is blank and unselectable. Also, the Marine background only works if the Ghosts of Saltwater Marsh is selected as a resource, rather than the "All official WotC backgrounds (WotC)". It's not that big of a deal but I thought you might want to know. I don't know how many other people are playing Triton Marine Paladins out there to report these errors. I love the sheet! So happy to have this amazing resource. Keep up the good work!

Janice Lamb

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! I'll fix the Rune Knight in the next version. Feats don't have any way of selecting extra options like class features do. Hence, there is no way for the sheet to give you the options for the one feat that would require this feature. You will have to add a maneuver manually.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Banderlog

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! At first, I couldn't find what you were talking about because I figured the Spell Sheet should add "DC" before the spell save DC, but then I remembered that this shouldn't be the case on the Colourful sheets and I re-wrote the code to force it everywhere. So my apologies, this is the result of wanting to finish the beta just in time for dinner and I *forgot* about testing the changes on the Colourful versions of the sheet for convenience. You can expect this to be fixed in the next beta. Until then, you can use the Printer Friendly versions.

Of course there is :) You just have to click on the "Export/Import" bookmark and select to import directly from another MPMB character sheet PDF.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

is there a way to export or transfer the data from an earlier sheet to the latest without hand jamming it back in?

Charles Cole

Can confirm the Import fail. I am on Mac OS X 10.14.6 running Acrobat Reader DC Pro Build: 19.12.20040.345140. Importing 13beta19 into 13beta20 fails. I see J's reply that the import code will be included in the next 'beta'.

Buckley C

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! You are correct, I forgot to update the import code to allow importing from beta19. I'll make sure that it is fixed for the next beta, which will probably be here soon as there is a new UA to transcribe ;)

I downloaded the newest version today (13 beta 20) and now I'm having issues with the various drop down menus increasing in font size and closing suddenly. Any idea if this is connected to an issue with Adobe trying to load accessibility features (which it has never done before?) or an issue with the file itself? Can't seem to get it to fix itself. Thanks!

KS

Holy shitballs that was so much faster! I have been using an older version of the sheet, and generating spells took a LONG time, sometimes crashing the application because of the load. I downloaded this new sheet and BAM! spellsheet done. I am so impressed! Well done!

R S

This would really only be useful for a non-multiclassing warlock, as that is the only situation in D&D 5e that a character has access to spell slots of only a single spell level. In order for me to apply this functionality to the cantrips, I had to re-write the code of each cantrip individually. Now that wasn't much of an issue for cantrips, but is a whole lot of extra work if that has to happen for all spells. I hope you can understand that such a trade-off in time investment and limited pay-off is something that has to be considered. I will add it to the wishlist to be voted upon.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Any chance you could add an option to move a spell to a higher slot? As a warlock I only have my max level slots, and some of the spells are more powerful when in higher slots. I saw the option to auto-calculate based on level and thought about this.

Hunter

That seems correct, for the 'Import a character directly from another PDF' function to work properly, you either need to add a JavaScript file to your Adobe Acrobat installation or run a code from the JavaScript console. This is because of a security measure by Acrobat to prevent PDFs from opening other files on your machine.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hi, just want to check, pressing the Import/Expoer button then the Import a character directly option, what menu should that bring up? because on the latest version I get something about importing/exporting javascript. Thanks for the excellent work!

L0neGamer

I was working on 2 characters at the same time, and I had gotten the perception bonus mixed up. My bad!

Timothy Edward Rossow

This is as intended. Because the raven is not anything different from a normal raven it is not automatically added to a companion page. You can do so yourself if you want. The reason for this is that back when that UA article came out, I didn't really automate stuff like this. And as far as I can tell the Charisma modifier bonus to Perception is correctly applied by the sheet. Or it that not what you meant?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I'm not sure if this is intended, but the raven you get from being a Raven Queen Warlock isn't added as a companion. Additionally, the bonus to perception and passive perception don't add Charisma, though they're added if the raven is on your shoulder

Timothy Edward Rossow

Although I love adding new content to the sheet's automation, making the content fit in the sheet nicely takes a lot of time. In the past I have made some third-party content like the DMs Guild material by Matthew Mercer, but I currently have no plans of transcribing any other third-party material to be used with the sheet.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Do you have plans to add Xanathars Lost Notes to Everything Else?

Are there any errors in the JavaScript Console (a.k.a. JavaScript Debugger)? Can you try turning on "Show console on errors and messages" in Edit >> Preferences >> JavaScript, before opening the sheet? That should show any errors during the startup script in the JavaScript Console and hopefully give me an idea why it is not removing the "Critical Fail" icon. What version of Adobe Acrobat are you running exactly?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

When running beta18 or beta19 on Linux (Acrobat DC through wine), I always get the "Critical Fail" pop up. Older versions work but they don't have the font change option so certain text doesn't show up. If anyone has got beta18 or 19 working, I'd love to hear about it!

Xiomaro

Common is not so much automatically added, as that it is always present on the sheet by default. Just open a freshly downloaded sheet and you'll notice that it already says "Common" in the language preferences. This has always been the case since v1, not something that changed recently. There is currently no system for removing languages, only for adding them. If you want a custom race to remove the Common language, you will have to use an `eval` attribute to search for Common and remove it (unless it has a tooltip, in which case it was added by some other feature, however unlikely).

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I've noticed when making custom races, Common is being automatically added, even when the race I'm making explicitly doesn't have access to it. Is there a way to prevent this behaviour from happening? As it is a little annoying :P This is with 13beta18, however this behaviour was not present in a sheet I tested that was beta17, however there is no mention of this behaviour being added in the changelog.

FreakyAlienGenotype

Mike McMahon

I must have missed it, but what classes are there in the Ghost of Saltmarsh? As far as I'm aware, the only WotC published book that contains player classes is the Player's Handbook.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Are the ghost of salt marsh classes added anywhere yet?

Mike McMahon

Adding those things to the weapon description is a good idea, I'll change it. I will make it so that it is added to all ranged weapon attack, regardless of adding the words "sharpshooter" in their name/description or not, because that is really only if you want to add the -5/+10.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

When I apply the sharpshooter feat, I get the TH and Dmg mods, but not the other components, ie the no disad for long distance and ignore 1/2 and 3/4 cover.

Dinglebats

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! That is a very good catch, I hadn't noticed it at all. I changed something in how that field gets populated in beta13 (or maybe it was beta12) and I guess that since then it hasn't been populating all the fields correctly. This kind of feedback is very much appreciated, I'll make sure this is fixed in the next version!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Are the footers for the modular pages supposed to change with each release as well or are you considering each its own version? The notes and companion pages for example show as v12.99.90 and v13b12 respectively.

Regarding the Acquisitions Incorporated company "Positions", I would like to officially add a request to incorporate them in a future update. Thank you!!

Mark Altvater

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! Can you tell me what version + type of sheet you are having these issues with? Is it v13.0.0beta17 [Printer Friendly-Redesign]? Also, when you say "it is using the Intelligence modifiers for those ritual spells", do you mean that "Intelligence" is selected from the drop-down box on the spell sheet page for the "Book of Ancient Secrets" section? Because that I am unable to reproduce on v13.0.0beta17 [Printer Friendly-Redesign].

MorePurpleMoreBetter

So I have a dual classed arcane trickster / celestial warlock. Took Ancient Secrets and it looks like although it says is using Charisma it is using the Intelligence modifiers for those ritual spells.

Ted Poovey

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! This was one confusing issue to unravel, but I found the pair of bugs that conspired to stop the subclass change. Turns out it was something seemingly unrelated that didn't produce any error text but did stop the further removal of any features. And as the error was occurring with the very first feature that should be removed, none were removed at all. You can expect this to be fixed in the next version of the sheet.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

On MPMB's Character Record Sheet (v13.0.0beta17) [Printer Friendly - Redesign] changing a subclass does not update correctly. Specifically Monk, I haven't tested others. Create a Monk, Way of Shadows. Character sheet fills out correctly. Change to Way of the Four Elements, it does not delete shadow monk features, shadow monk spells, shadow monk actions, etc. So now monk has features and spells from both subclasses. (It's easy enough to delete the features, but it continually wants to add the spells every time I access the spell sheet.)

Tim Jones

Nice catch! I'll make sure it is fixed in the next version :)

Mike Tree

I think you might be confused with how the Pact spells work for a warlock. Those spells are added to the ones you can chose for your spells known, you don't automatically know them. Thus, it wouldn't make sense if the sheet puts them on the spell sheet automatically. You still have to select them as one of your known spells

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Was leveling a dual class arcane trickster / celestial warlock 9 AT / 5 CW (14 th level). The fifth level automatic spells do not appear on the spell sheet. V17 Printer friendly redesign Letter To be clear the two third level warlock spells that should be automatic on sheet. (Revivify and Daylight)

Ted Poovey

The HP of an Artificer companion (homonculus, iron defender) only updates when you change level. Unfortunately there is no way for the sheet to do it at another time. When the Intelligence modifier changes, you will have to manually update the HP on the companion page.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Artificer Alechemist's Homonculus HP is not calculating correctly (missing INT mod). Noticed in 13.0.0beta16 with Human (variant), Guild Artisan, Artificer (Alchemist) 3. Used 'Scores' dialogue to set Ability Scores.

Eric Kooistra

If text is being cut off in a dialog then it is a bug with Adobe Acrobat and not something I can fix unfortunately. If I would have to guess, I would say this probably has something to do with DPI scaling being something else than 100%, because Acrobat is notoriously inconsistent with that. If you don't know what DPI scaling is or if your Mac is doing so, you can take a look here for an explanation: https://www.eizoglobal.com/support/compatibility/dpi_scaling_settings_mac_os_x/index.html

I have a minor formatting issue to report. Upon first opening the files in Adobe Reader, the Welcome prompt appears. No matter the resolution I set my display to, the last line of text (which I think says "do not show this message again") is cut off. At higher resolutions I am able to see the OK button at the bottom, but the last line of text above that button is still just the tops of the letters. Adobe Reader is up to date; I'm using macOS v10.14.1. I feel guilty even reporting this minor thing since your product is so supremely amazing; thank you :)

I'm unsure what you are asking. MPMB's Character Record Sheets only exist as PDFs, there are no HTML versions.

How do we convert the HTML version to pdf.?

Joe Craig

On MPMB's Character Record Sheet (v13.0.0beta16) [Printer Friendly - Redesign], whenever I add in an unarmed attack to any character/any class, all it populates is the word Unarmed. None of the other stats (to hit, damage, range, etc.) populate. It may be connected to the racial unarmed attacks that Sheriff Jetsaurian mentions above but I'm just guessing. Thank you for an awesome character sheet.

DoomHammer67

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! This seems very similar to an issue that some betas had, but has since been resolved. I can't reproduce this issue with v13.0.0beta15. Can you please tell me what version you are using and how to reproduce this issue, starting with a freshly downloaded v13.0.0beta15?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I have a little bug to report. I was creating a Drow Bard, College of Whispers. Unfortunately selecting Drow Elf inputs Wood Elf statistics into the racial information section. Next I selected the Wood Elf, and it appeared to be working fine. So it appears that the Drow is the only one with the problem.

George LaTourette

When you include the "Unearthed Arcana: The Ranger, Revised" source (UA:RR), the sheet will use those rules for the ranger. If you want to use the PHB ranger rules, make sure the UA:RR source is excluded before creating a ranger with the sheet. This is explained in the red text in the class selection dialog. All Unearthed Arcana sources are excluded by default, so unless you change the default, you won't have this issue. The XGtE archetypes for the ranger (Gloom Stalker, Horizon Walker, and Monster Slayer) don't have any rules for use with the Revised Ranger, but I have added them to the Revised Ranger anyway because of popular demand. The fact that they get 2 attacks is an interpretation by me about how those archetypes would best work with the Revised Ranger.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Been looking everywhere and not sure if this is the place to ask. I made a gloom stalker ranger and I noticed is it seems to use the revised ranger by default (which is fine by me), but on the number of attacks it shows 2. I'm not sure where the extra attack is coming from as neither gloom stalker nor revised ranger seem to have it. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Daniel Partington

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the beta! I seem to have made a mistake with adding the extra option to a higher-level feature, which is not how it should be. You'll notice that if you go from level 10 or lower directly to level 17 or higher, that the feature does get added, but of course it should also be there when going from level 10 to 11. I'll make sure this is fixed in the next version of the sheet.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Thank you so much this is wonderful. Found one bug for Kensai monk. There is an ability that is missing. " Sharpen the Blade (Way of the Kensei 11, XGtE 35) [1 to 3 ki points] As a bonus action, I can grant my kensei weapon a bonus to attack and damage rolls This bonus is equal to the number of ki points I spend and doesn't stack with magic This lasts for 1 minute or until I use this feature again "

Ted Poovey

This is a good idea. Because Wand of Wonder is just a random effect, I didn't really think about it needing spells to be listed on the spell sheet. But now looking better at those effects, most of them are just spells being cast, so it would certainly be nice to have them listed for quick reference. I'll make sure the next version of the sheet has this for the Wand of Wonder.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Wonderful how much you've done with magic items, also using items from adventures, and adding their spells in spell sheets. My character has a Wand of Wonder, but these spells aren't added into the spell sheet, so without another source of the spell, I have to add those manually. I would deeply appreciate it if you added these at a later update :)

Ole

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the beta! I will change it so that it is clearer that the expertise doesn't have to be with the same tool proficiency you get from the Envoy Warforged.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the beta! It seems I didn't correctly implement the new way of handling racial unarmed strikes and they are all still being recognized as just an unarmed strike, and not the racial equivalent. This will be fixed in the next version!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Was building an Envoy Warforged, when going through initial selection of proficiencies and languages, the proficiency is titled "Expertise with any one tool" instead of a generic proficiency from Warforged. As I understand it, the proficiency granted by specialized design does not have to be the one you use for Integrated tool. I was wondering if that was intentional as it's an edge case mechanic and honestly not a big deal to just put in the specialized design proficiency into the box and then add expertise to w/e tool you want.

Apoorva Kharche

Just noticed that Aarakocra do not do 1d4 damage with their claws as written. It only lets them do 1 point of damage as though it was an unarmed attack without proficiency.

Sheriff Jetsaurian

There is currently no support for feats having choices like the Martial Adept feat requires. This is not a bug, it is simply something that is not supported by the sheet. The reason for this is that this is the only feat that would require it and it would require some big changes in the sheet for that to be able. It will be on the list of new features to vote for once v13 comes out.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Using version 13.0.0.beta14 and selecting the Martial Adept feat, the combat superiority options do not appear in the Choose Feature button. The feat allows any class to add these and select 2 from the Battle Master list but the sheet does not show what those choices are (the listing is available for the Battle Master class). Tying that listing to the feat would be wonderful!

Stephen Brown

This is definitely not a bug, because a level 1 druid does not get access to level 4 spells. Your confusion probably stems from the fact that your character has spell slots of 4th level. This is because when you multiclass spellcasting classes, their levels are added together to determine the amount and level of spell slots you gain. However, each spellcasting class still only gets access to spells appropriate of its own level. This is explained in the section on Spellcasting when Multiclassing on page 165 of the Player’s Handbook.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hi! It seems I can't prepare any Druid spells of 2nd level and higher on my 6 Bard / 1 Druid even though I should be able to prepare Druid spells up to 4th level. Will this be fixed in a future update?

Robert Rinia

If you include all the UA: Revised Ranger source in the source selection dialog, then that version of the ranger will be used. If you exclude the source, as is done by default, than the PHB ranger will be used. This is explained in the red text in the class selection dialog.

This is not something that is planned. It is on the wishlist, but adding it to the feats doesn't seem correct to me. I haven't found a way to implement it in a way that is not so intrusive. Anyway, this will not be added for v13, but will be added to the vote for new features once v13 is done.

Like the magic item functionality! Any chance of adding Blessings and Boons from the DMG as well? Perhaps appended to the feats instead of with the magic items?

You can add content to the sheets with the "Add Extra Materials" bookmark. To add something, you will have to write it in the proper JavaScript syntax for the sheet to understand it. You can find that syntax on my GitHub here: <a href="https://github.com/morepurplemorebetter/MPMBs-Character-Record-Sheet/tree/master/additional%20content%20syntax" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://github.com/morepurplemorebetter/MPMBs-Character-Record-Sheet/tree/master/additional%20content%20syntax</a>

I noticed that there is a rules import option. Where would the guideline be for making custom rules for import? I would like to make a file for my GMs Guild content.

It doesn't have an issue with spaces, but it could be because of the ampersand. But regardless, you can't import from one beta to another.

The import routine fails (file not found) when I try to import "C:\Users\darko\OneDrive\Documents\RPG\AD&D\5th Edition\MPMBs Character Record Sheet - Wode.pdf". I am importing from beta 10 to beta 14. Does this thing have issues with spaces?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas. I think both things are by design, but I can't really follow you on the second one concerning the weapon proficiencies. The sheet will default to today's date for adventure leage logsheet entries. To explain a bit how the weapon proficiencies work, I'm going to use the example case of the quarterstaff. When the character has no weapon proficiencies and you add 'quarterstaff' to the other weapon proficiencies, it will work as expected. If you then check the 'simple' weapon proficiency checkbox, the text 'quarterstaff' will disappear from the 'other' weapon proficiency field. This is done because the 'quarterstaff' proficiency is included in the broader 'simple weapons' proficiency. However, this makes it impossible to delete the manually added 'quarterstaff' proficiency, because it is no longer listed. This is why it stays in the tooltip. Only when you first uncheck the 'simple weapons' proficiency, which will make 'quarterstaff' reappear in the 'other' weapon proficiency field, can you remove the 'quarterstaff' proficiency by deleting the text in the field. I agree that it is confusing and a seems convoluted, but it is the best I could make it work without making different fields for the manual input and the automated input.

I've found 2 things: I imported an old sheet(12.991) which seems to have import great. However in the Adventurer's Logsheet, the last ones with no date were given todays date. The second thing I see is in the Character sheet front, I added a Weapon in the Proficiencies and then deleted it. However, the tool tip is still showing it. I tried also putting something else in the box, but the tooltip still showed the original, which was Quarterstaff. After poking around with the Simple, Martial, Other Weapons, I found that it had put in the in the Other Weapons also. Once I deleted it there, the tool tip went away. I repeated the action with Mace and it moved it to Other Weapons again, with the tool tip indicating it as a manual entry, even though when Simple/Martial is selected there is nothing in the input box. Deleting it under Other Weapons cleared the tool tip. Not sure if the second item is intended??

Shawn Gerrans

Unfortunately doing that is not as easy as it sounds. I would have to completely re-write all the functions that set the spell boxes as the current implementation is not scalable. This is not a trivial amount of work. It is on my wishlist for the sheet and it will be on the list of features to vote upon once v13 is finished. Also, there might be plenty of room on the Printer Friendly sheets, but not so much on the Colourful sheets, and both will have to work the same way.

Any chance of updating the spell sheet code to actually draw the additional spell boxes in situations where it adds the "of 6" (Paladin 6, Warlock 2) or 'of 5" (Paladin 7, Warlock 3)? There's plenty of room.

Daniel Zahn

I know that the rules for level and treasure have changed for Adventurers League. An update like that is a lot of work and that is why I asked the community if I should do it before finishing the magic items. This was voted upon back in July, with magic item support priority being the clear winner. See here: <a href="https://www.patreon.com/posts/20407399">https://www.patreon.com/posts/20407399</a> I will start working on updating the adventure logsheets once the magic item support (v13) is finished.

DDAL Adventure Log is not reflective of Current Season. New Stats ACP replace Experience and TCP replaces Magic Items. TCP has 4 Tiers that need to be tracked Separately. Since DDAL no longer tracks experience point, the first page of the Character Sheet should reflect the ACP instead of experience and number of ACP to reach next level when DDAL Options are selected. The following links is a good example of ACP tracking for next level. <a href="https://www.dmsguild.com/product/252561/Logsheet-for-AL-season-8?src=also_purchased" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.dmsguild.com/product/252561/Logsheet-for-AL-season-8?src=also_purchased</a>

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! This is an unfortunate side-effect from the system that the sheet employs to 'remember' the skill proficiencies. It can only remember them for things that give explicit proficiency and not for something that lets you choose a proficiency. Only if the character has something that explicitly gives proficiency with the Arcana skill (e.g. the Sage background) will the feat grant expertise, otherwise it will just grant proficiency. It is on my wishlist to automate skill selection further, but that requires some big changes. It will be on the list of new features to be voted upon for the next feature to implement once v13 is done.

The feat Arcanist doesn't apply expertise automatically. Tried it on several different types of characters.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! I have no trouble with the sheet adding the Divine Fury bonus damage. Might it be that you are not writing "Rage" separately? For example, writing "DivineRage" won't work, but "(Rage)" will. Also, the Divine Rage bonus damage is only added once you select the type of damage this is with the "Choose Feature" button on the 2nd page. Might it be that you didn't select that yet? If it is neither of these reasons, then it is probably a bug. Can you please walk me through how to reproduce this, starting from a freshly downloaded sheet?

Awesome work! I've been loving your sheet. Quick bug I noticed in beta12: it appears that Passive Perception is not calculating right; it is just displaying the perception mod, not 10 + perception.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas and including a walkthrough how to reproduce it, it is much appreciated! I did indeed change some things with how the prepared/attack/DC are calculated on the spell sheets and in doing so forgot to take the modifier fields into account. This will be fixed in the next beta!

13.0.0beta11 Printer Friendly - Redesign: The (hidden) modifiers for # Prepared SPells, Spell Attack Modifier, and DC Modifier do not seem to work any more (they were working Beta5). 1. Open the sheet, Create a Level 1 Wizard 2. Add some spells through the dialog 3. Turn on the Modifiers 4. Change the Spell Attack Modifier and DC Modifier; the visible fields do not change (nor when you save). Given that I was changing this because of a Rod of the Pact Keeper, I wonder if it's related to the magic item changes.

Jeffrey P

Ok, belay this: it looks like you've fixed this in v13.11 (or possibly earlier; the version I was seeing this in perhaps was earlier than I said). Don't you love bugs you've already fixed!

Jeffrey P

Bug report in v13.8-10 at least: Create a Raven Queen Warlock at Level 16 with a WIS of 12 (+1), CHA of 20(+5). Take Proficiency in Perception. Now your Perception bonus should be +1(Wis)+5(Prof)+5(Sentinel Raven Cha bonus) = 11, which it is (I think it is right to show the bonus from when you have the raven on your shoulder). However, your Passive Perception should be 21 (10+11) and it's 26. Clicking on Passive Perception shows that it's adding the CHA bonus again, which of course has already been added into the WIS bonus. I assume this is happening because you are calculating Passive Perceptions by 10+[normal bonus], but in this case treating Sentinel Raven like an adder to Passive Perception (rather like the Observant bonus).

Jeffrey P

Yes, you can post a bug report here. The betas have links to a website that is still under construction and set to go live once v13 is finished so that's why some links don't work yet.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hello, what is the best way to report a bug or bugs? I checked the FAQ, but that also resulted in a bug :) And I see no "Report a bug" option in the extra features, so is a post here your preferred method?

Jeffrey P

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! I somehow completely overlooked the fact that the modifier fields should still be applied to the attack/dc/prepared numbers on the spell sheet pages while I was editing the function for that to accommodate magic items. I will fix this in the next beta!

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! MorePurpleMoreBetter

So still kinda new to this... But after I imported the "Witch" Class, I noticed that when playing with the modifiers on the spell sheet for Spells to Prepare and Spell Attack Modifier, that they don't change no matter what values I put in.

Very minor bug with importing a character in beta 11. I imported my Bard with the Ritual Caster [Wizard] feat, and on her spell page in the Wizard spells section there was a line for "Spells to prepare" with a NaN [Not a Number] error in the box. This only seems to happen upon import; I created a new sheet to test if the bug showed up there and it did not. I don't think this is particularly important, but wanted to share just in case.

Michael J Wynne-Feigin

You can post the bug report right here. Or in a private message here, on reddit, via twitter, email, or paper mail if that is your preference ;) But in all seriousness, I try to keep up with any and all messages I get, so basically any way of contacting me is good for bug reports.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the sheets! Considering your first point, the Unarmoured Defence (Con) and (Wis). These have already not been present since beta7, but I can see that something so small is easily missed. I change a lot of tiny things like this between the betas. They will now only show up when you have a class that has these features (e.g. take a level of Monk and you'll see the option). Regardless of the options not being in the drop-down, they will always work when typed in manually, even when no class is present that would grant these abilities. This change is a way for all other things that grant special armour options (Tortle's Shell for example) to also become an option in the drop-down box for armours. Previously you would get the armour auto-filled, but if you selected something else, you wouldn't be able to select the previous option anymore. As for your second point, I have no issue with the Half-Elf race. After I select Half-Elf and then 'basic Half-Elf' in the pop-up, the Changes dialog informs me of the skill proficiency changes. What are you experiencing? Can you walk me through what you did that the Changes dialog didn't show up so I can reproduce the issue and fix it?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Great job as always. Right off with 13.0.0beta10, I have noticed that Unarmored (con) and Unarmored (dex) are no longer in the armor dropdown and Half Elf no longer gets prompted to select two skills.

Boomerkoji

The sidekick classes could be implemented, but not on the companion page I'm afraid. Companions don't have any mechanisms for gaining levels on their own or having level-dependent features. It could however be implemented as alternative classes. You would then have to keep a separate character sheet for the companion with classes, but it could work. I have been busy with the whole magic item implementation and haven't given Unearthed Arcana any priority. Perhaps somebody over on the /r/mpmb subreddit has already put in the work to transcribe the UA, but if it is waiting on input from me that will have to wait until after v13 is finished.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hey there, is there any chance of being able to add the Sidekicks Unearthed Arcana material? Ideally it could interact with a companion as created on the companion page to add class features, etc to a beast or other critter. Probably a niche case so maybe not worth messing with, but I thought I'd ask!

Thank you for your suggestion, I wasn't aware that would be interesting for Adventurers Leagues. In what detail does the table thing work? I'm completely unfamiliar with Adventurers League and find navigating that website a nightmare. Finding the current AL rules is kinda hit-or-miss for me ;) Is it just Major/Minor or more detail, like Table H, Table B? The former I would be able to easily get from the resource I was using to get the full descriptions, the latter would be something to crowd-source (and also be a bit more difficult, as items can appear on multiple tables I think).

MorePurpleMoreBetter

For the magic item list, can we also include along with rarity, the table it's listed on. The S8 rules for trading require the item trade tables to match (yes, it's annoying).

Unfortunately both AVG and Avast falsely flag these PDFs as containing a virus. Dark Queen Fenris Ulfr

Thank you for the suggestion. With the new feature of selecting racial variants via a dialog it has become more interesting to select all subraces like that and cleaning up the numerous options in the racial drop-down. Such a feature is on my wishlist. However, I don't really follow what you are getting at with the Genasi. Even if the subraces selection is done via the dialog for racial variants, the only thing that will change is how it's name appears on the first page. Everything else, including the description in the Racial Traits section, would stay as it is now. For example, it would still read "Earth Genasi" everywhere except in the 1st page drop-down box. I don't think you can get the benefits of multiple subraces if that is what you mean. What is the practical thing that you think should change? Just how Genasi are selected? Or their Racial Traits description? Or something else?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Suggestion: Regarding Genasi, it would be nice if the Race drop-down menu only had "Genasi" listed, and the racial subtype could be selected (since Genasi can exhibit traits of one OR MORE types) like Racial Features (e.g., human variant) later on the character sheet.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! As far as I can tell, this has been wrong since the first version of the Simic was transcribed for use with the sheets. I will make sure this is corrected to +2 Con!

My 2 cents: the Simic racial score improvement is +2 Cos, not Dex. It is well written, but it is wrong in the automatic compilation of the Ability Scores function.

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas! Beta7 had a glaring problem with updating levels (like applying class features) that I have now fixed in beta8. Thus, please try again with beta8 to see if the same issue is still there.

That is great news! I got a message from AVG that they had fixed the issue but when I uploaded a character made in beta6 to VirusTotal.com it still showed that AVG (and Avast) detected a virus in the file. But VirusTotal.com is not always up-to-date when it comes to virus definitions. If you have time, would you mind uploading one of your beta6 character sheets to <a href="https://www.virustotal.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.virustotal.com</a> and posting the link to the results here (or sending it to me directly)? It would help me greatly to see how it is reported on VirusTotal.com as I don't use AVG or Avast. Things uploaded to VirusTotal.com don't suddenly become public, the content of the files will not be available to anybody. Thanks!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Hey, looks like the Avast flase positive issue may have been fixed :) Just used it to do a targeted scan of a folder containing 20+ characters on the Beta5 and Beta6 sheets, and no viruses were falsely detected. I'm fairly certain that this was fixed today, as several files were quarantined this morning when copying them from an external drive.

I am not sure if anyone has said this yet, however the APE Companion for the Revised Ranger does not load at all if you already had a companion selected, (I've got all sources loaded, fyi) it remains the animal that was already chosen and removes the Revised Ranger beast conclave bonuses.

I can't help you with Avast falsely flagging the files unfortunately. I recommend sending as many false positive reports to Avast as you can (using your Avast installation you can send feedback). I have contacted Avast a month ago about the beta6 being falsely flagged as a virus and have continued to message them about it every week since. All the answer I have gotten so far is that "they will look into it", but nothing else. They have been much more helpful in the past, but even then it took 2-6 weeks for a false positive to be resolved. However, those times the answers were more helpful and progress updates from there side were more frequent. Thus, as I noted in the v13.0.0beta6 announcement post ( <a href="https://www.patreon.com/posts/v13-0-0beta6-22547779">https://www.patreon.com/posts/v13-0-0beta6-22547779</a> ), you will have to wait for Avast to clear the files. Once Avast clears the files I'll make a post about it so everybody is aware. In the meantime you can set an exclusion in Avast for a particular folder. All the files in that folder will than no longer be scanned for viruses. This is not the safest solution, but as long as you only put character sheets in that folder there shouldn't be any issues. See here for information how to do that: <a href="https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Antivirus-scan-exclusions" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://support.avast.com/en-eu/article/Antivirus-scan-exclusions</a>

I can't find out how to fix the problem with AVAST flagging the latest character sheet and can't use it because it won't save. I know you've answered this question before, I remember reading it, but that was way back in version 5. Anyway if you can let me know how to solve the problem that would be appreciated.

NShannacappo

The fact that you could always cancel the class dialog when changing level was actually causing a lot of issues, so I made it impossible to apply classes without the level being the same. For Gestalt characters, there is a script you can import: <a href="https://gist.github.com/morepurplemorebetter/3c64c19d371c1d3f4688a58441315404" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://gist.github.com/morepurplemorebetter/3c64c19d371c1d3f4688a58441315404</a>#file-gestaltmpmb-js Just download that file (click on the "Raw" button and then save it) and import it as a file or copy the code and paste it into the manual import dialog. What the code does is display only half the level that your classes add up to. It also halves the proficiency bonus, when cantrips improve, and makes it so that when you reach enough XP for the next level, you get two levels to add to your classes. What the code doesn't do is fix other things that are based on levels. They will see your character as having twice as high level. Luckily there are only a limited number of things that work like that, the Dragonborn's breath weapon damage die being one of them. So a gestalt Dragonborn "Fighter 6, Rogue 6" will get 3d6 damage with its breath weapon.

I'm sorry to hear that you can't get the optional third-party scripts to work with the beta. I have no issue importing script files that I downloaded from GitHub. Perhaps try downloading the file first and importing the downloaded file instead of trying to open the file from the URL directly. At least, I'm assuming that is what you are doing and not downloading the file first before importing. Be aware that you need the "Raw" GitHub link for Windows to be able to open the file with the Open File dialog. To be sure it works, please do the following: 1. go to a script file on GitHub, the Improved Artificer for example: <a href="https://github.com/morepurplemorebetter/MPMBs-Character-Record-Sheet/blob/master/additional%20content/v13/Classes/Improved%20Artificer%20%5BXP%20to%20Level%203%2C%20transcribed%20by%20MPMB%5D.js" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://github.com/morepurplemorebetter/MPMBs-Character-Record-Sheet/blob/master/additional%20content/v13/Classes/Improved%20Artificer%20%5BXP%20to%20Level%203%2C%20transcribed%20by%20MPMB%5D.js</a> 2. click on the 'Raw' button to see the file itself and nothing else 3. now save this file with either Ctrl+S or by going to 'save' in your browser 4. open the sheet and import the .js file you just saved When I follow these steps there is nowhere that I'm asked to enter my GitHub credentials. I hope this helps!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I DL'ed the beta sheet but when I tried to DL the new v13 scripts I would go to the github page, copy link location, paste it into the field for scripts and I'd get a popup asking for login credentials for github. So I made a github account and tried it again. It would keep popping up the login request then error out. So, so far no v13 scripts for me. (Windows7 with latest FF if it's helpful)

The Dread Pirate Mittens

My issue revolves around the fact that my group always plays gestalt characters. Normally I can input my class as being level 5 rogue level 5 fighter (or whatever combination) and then change my total level to 5, and cancel out all the pop ups and get the sheet to recognize my character as being level five in two classes and level 5 total. In this new sheet I am unable to do it as far as I can see, the sheet will not let me make my total level lower than the combined levels of my classes. I can't cancel the box that comes up when a level is changed, and I think this is what causes the problem. Any way around this? Thank you for all the great work, btw. Been using your sheet since I first started playing DND. Helped me out SO MUCH. <3

randal regan

As soon as I get all the code working the way I want it to. Once that is done, magic items are supported. Then it will be a matter of transcribing all the magic items to fit in the sheet. I don't have a fixed time schedule for either. My best guess would be anywhere between 1 and 5 months.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

When is Magic Item support expected to be implemented?

Cirosmar

It is indeed still the plan. As voted upon on the poll I put up about this subject (<a href="https://www.patreon.com/posts/20407399">https://www.patreon.com/posts/20407399</a>), AL season 8 milestone support will come after the magic items are finished. My current plan is to have the milestone support be included in v13.1

So Avast will not download latest version because it finds JS:Pdfka-gen[Expl] - rated low. Can you verify this with other scans? Did you add a new Javascript library? Or is it just matching the byte compare too close? I can report this as false positive if it is. But I have to bypass download prevention to do it.

Thank you very much for reporting any bugs you find with the sheet! I'm unable to get v13.0.0beta5 to do what you describe. But of course I don't know what exactly you mean with 'No matter what I try to do'. So let me explain what I tried: When I open the beta, click through the (1) welcome and (2) Sources dialogs without changing anything, and then (3) open the class dialog to make a level 10 Ranger (Horizon Walker) it fills the sheet with the abilities of the XGtE Horizon Walker. This is as expected, because the UA version is set to be excluded in the Sources dialog. Now, when you add all the UA scripts, when you create a ranger you will be making a Revised Ranger, and that has a different relationship with the Horizon Walker as there is no 'official' source that lists the XGtE version to be made available for the Revised Ranger. The sheet does allow this, but then you need to first remove the 'Horizon Conclave' as an option using the Sources dialog. However, this has made me think about this issue and I will make sure that the XGtE version will be available for the Revised Ranger as 'Horizon Walker', while the UA version will be available as 'Horizon Conclave' and no longer also respond to 'Horizon Walker', which is probably a lot less confusing ;)

Thank you very much for reporting any bugs you find with the sheet! The issue you are describing is known (reported by many here on Patreon) and will be fixed in beta6. Advancing to level 3 fighter and selecting Eldritch Knight does not give any spells. Should be able to select 2x cantrips (any) and 3x 1st level spells from wizards list (two of which must be Abj or Evo school spells). Oddly enough the Class Features list shows the correct number of cantrips and spells in the Spellcasting section. Also not able to reach level 20 at all...stuck at 19. Using Redesigned.

Bill Franklin

There are a couple of bugs I've found in the latest beta (beta5) with the barbarian class: Firstly, the Totem Warrior features never appear. The class features remain stuck at level 2. Secondly, when I tried to make a high level Storm Herald, it threw the following JS error: "Level: 6, oldLevel: 8 Error while trying to match the class 'barbarian' to a string in the Class field." I'm not sure how I managed this, but I think I somehow got the sheet to try and build the character with the subclass selected, but not the primary class, in the class dialogue.

Thank you very much for reporting any bugs you find with the sheet! However, I'm unable to reproduce this issue. After I include the source for the Spell-less Ranger (UA:MC) and make a level 3 Spell-less Ranger, I don’t get any questions regarding updating the spell sheets. I tested this is with v13.0.0beta5 [Printer Friendly]. Perhaps you are using another version of the sheet? Might it be that you are making a regular Ranger (i.e. you didn’t include the UA:MC source or you selected the normal ‘Ranger’ class in the dropdown)? Or that you are multiclassing with a class that has spellcasting abilities? If not, can you please walk me through how to get the sheet to show the issue you are having, the steps you took to get the bug to show?

Thank you for the vote of confidence, but I'm no longer supporting the Excel Spell Sheet Generator. Instead, I recommend you use the spell sheet generation capabilities of the Character Record Sheet PDF, it is far more inclusive, user friendly, has better graphics, and is continuously kept up to date. Excel is very different than Google Docs when it comes to automation (i.e. more than just formulas) and making the Excel work with Google Docs would essentially be starting from scratch and making a Google Docs plug in, with which I have no experience. As I already have more things to do than I have time for, I’m going to have to respectfully pass on your offer. If you are looking for a Google Docs character sheet, I can recommend taking a look at Fey Runes Labs CharForge character sheet: <a href="https://sites.google.com/view/feyrunelabs/charforge" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://sites.google.com/view/feyrunelabs/charforge</a>

Thank you for reporting these issues. This seems to be related to the issue with subclasses and spellcasting. Good news is that I already fixed this bug in the code and shouldn't be a problem any more in beta6

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I was trying to create a Superman-like character by multiclassing in Barbarian (Path of Totem Warrior, level 10) and Monk (Way of the Sun Soul, level 10), and when maxing the character out to level 20, the class feature section only captures Barbarian traits up to level 2 (when it should be up to level 10) and does not populate anything regarding the Monk.

Aaron Stansberry

Thank you very much for reporting these bugs! I'm assuming this is with the latest beta: v13.0.0beta5. I could reproduce the issue with the Arcana Archer and have found a way to fix it, so it shouldn't be a problem any more in the next beta. However, I couldn't reproduce the issue with the Scout Rogue. When I use the Class Selection Dialog to select the Rogue with the Scout archetype (from XGtE), it fills the second page without issue. Can you please walk me through how you got the sheet to do what it did for you? Might it be that you switched from Arcane Archer to Scout Rogue within the same sheet? Because if so, it might be the bug causing the Arcane Archer to fail that caused everything to stop, including adding the Scout Rogue.

Seems to be an issue with the spell sheet for Eldritch Knight - using sheet MPMB's Character Record Sheet (v13.0.0beta5) [Colorful - Letter].pdf, the spell sheet would not generate anything other than a listing of the class Eldritch Knight. No spells would generate.

There seems to be an issue with Arcane Archer, when i tried to make a level 8 arcane archer it only showed the level 2 abilities. Also Scout Rogue came up entirely Blank

Anthony Kruglyak

Thank you for reporting this issue. I'm assuming this with v13.0.0beta5. I have found the issue and will fix it in the next beta! Turns out this only occurs after selecting the pact boon. It has to do with backwards compatibility with the XGtE script not (yet) being updated to the v13 standard.

Thank you, the community is certainly great. I'm still blown away by the continued support! After the planned changed are done (magic items, new AL level system) there will be a vote for what feature to add next. A separate page for equipment is one of the options. The sheet already offers the option to pick and choose which columns of the equipment sections are added to the total carried weight. You can set this with the "Weight" button in the 'JavaScript Window'-toolbar and the "Weight" bookmark.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Great work, you have a dedicated community here. Would you consider one day adding bag of holding support for the PDF? A way to remove certain columns or section from weight calculations or having a specific BoH, haversack, or basic cart/wagon/ and/or chest rules would be great way to keep track.

armofjustice

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the beta sheets? What version are you using (including the beta number)? Note that the Favoured Soul subclass appears in multiple Unearthed Arcana articles (both UA: Modifying Classes and UA: Sorcerous Origins). The sheet will automatically use the latest source that you have included. So if you include both UA sources, the sheet will use the Favoured Soul from UA:SO, which also grants Supernatural Resilience, just like the Divine Soul from XGtE. If you want to use the Favoured Soul from UA:MC, make sure you don't also include the UA:SO source!

There a bug in the Favored Soul sorcerer sub class. It is giving the extra spell from Divine Soul by mistake and it is missing the Supernatural Resilience

Great to hear you like the sheets. Headers like 'Inspiration' are static text, part of the background. There is no built-in way of changing something like that. The only way to do that is to edit the PDF using PDF-editor software (e.g. Acrobat Pro).

Is there any move to make character sheets to match the changes in season 8 DDAL?

Brad Clark

It doesn't have to be written in all caps, that is just how the tooltip gives the examples. This is simply because the tooltips are the same on the Colourful and the Printer Friendly sheets, and on the Colourful sheets the ability is given in all caps. And the Colourful sheets were there before the Printer Friendly ones. The code doesn't care if the ability score abbreviation is capitalised or not. Both "Thieves' tools (DEX)" and "Thieves' tools (dex)" will work. Testing it now, it does seem that the calculation doesn't immediately update when you change the ability score, but only once you change another field (i.e. trigger the field calculations). I will fix this in the next beta!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Never mind, this seems to be a rendering issue, not a font issue.

David Herman

Don't know if it is really a bug, but it bothers me ;) When I add a "Tool or custom skill" the according ability has to be written all caps to be recognized by the sheet. This looks weird in comparison to the other skills: (Dex) VS. (DEX) (v13.0.0beta4) [Printer Friendly - Redesign]

This is not a bug with the sheets but with Adobe Acrobat Reader. I recommend filing a bug report with Adobe about this. I have done so in the past, but the more people that file a bug report the bigger the chance they will do something about it. The reason for this happening is that you are using DPI scaling and the dialogs can't handle that correctly.

Unfortunately there is no way to reorder the pages unless you use Adobe Acrobat Pro. Adobe has restricted access to the function to reorder pages in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Even if I wanted to code a function for it, it would only work in Adobe Acrobat Pro. If you are using Pro, you can manually reorder the pages.

Is there any way to reorder the pages? I know you can remove them, or print in a different order. I would just like to see my spell sheet before my background info is all.

Your comment made my realise I should have mentioned that I wrote about how to circumvent AVG/Avast detection in the v13.0.0beta3 announcement post: <a href="https://www.patreon.com/posts/v13-0-0beta3-and-19541534">https://www.patreon.com/posts/v13-0-0beta3-and-19541534</a>

Just a FYI I think I have found a away around AVG's BS false positives. I have added a folder to AVG's exception list just for the pdf's I get from here. Sucks I have to do that but dammit AVG just needs to get their act together.

Jim Bragg

Loving the sheets dude! Keep up the good work

Jacob Lindsey

It is unfortunate to hear that AVG keeps giving an error with these sheets, because I'm unable to get AVG to give any problems with them... I can bring this issue to AVG, they have been very helpful in trying to resolve it. Can you tell me which of the files is giving a false positive warning, what version of AVG you are using, and what the version of your virus database in AVG is? With that information I can contact AVG to have them investigate further. Before they have assured me that v13.0.0beta3 is not being detected as a virus by their software. You are of course welcome to stay with v12.999. I'm doing everything I can to get the files whitelisted with all virus scanners, but in the end I have no control over how other software works.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Beta4 still reporting as virus according to AVG, getting to the point where I am going to revert to 12.9999 and just say the hell with it.

Hi Joe, I get the question for milestone support from time-to-time but I'm guessing you are not asking about the milestone rules on page 261 of the DMG. In the DMG, 'milestones' are used as experience point rewards for accomplishing some story-driven thing. It is a suggestion for Dungeon Masters not only to hand out XP for combat encounters, but also handing out XP for achieving certain challenges in the adventure. For example, a DM could hand out extra XP for discovering a hidden room. It is a system that uses experience points the same way as the default system. So yes, the sheet has support for milestones, because for the players, that is no different than the default experience point system. Might it be that you are asking if the sheet can be used without experience points? A system where the DM just tells you when you level up, without having to keep track of those annoying points? If so, I intend to implement such an option together with the newly proposed Adventurers League system of Experience Checkpoints. Cheers!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Will there be an option to use milestones? Sorry if already addressed. I've been searching through FAQ's, etc.

Thank you for reporting this issue! I changed how the Proficiency Bonus is calculated in v13 and I forgot to make it work beyond level 20. I will fix it in the next beta!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I don't know if this is a bug or if the new sheet will no longer support it, but it won't add the proficiency bonus to any character over level 20.

Jeremy Horn

Is this with v13.0.0beta3? Because it sounds like a bug that was in beta2 and has since been fixed.

You should be able to select all the domain spells of your chosen cleric domain, but no other cleric spells. These domain spells are listed under 'Subclass Spells' in the spell selection dialog. You do need to select a domain first using the "Choose Feature" button on the second page. The theurgy, by its rules in unearthed arcana, does gives access to other cleric spells once you have all the domain spells in your spellbook. However, the sheets are not able to check for this, so they never include all the cleric spells as options, only the domain spells. You can always add any spell (from any spell list) using the 'Extra Spells' part of the spell selection dialog. This limits you to only 16 non-domain cleric spells, but considering how niche the Theurgy is and how high level you need to be before you will get there, I expect it won't be an issue for many.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I'm creating a Theurgy wizard and am not sure how to add cleric spells to my spellbook. It appears I can only chose from the Wizard spell list. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Jamie

Hi Jason, It seems your comment slipped through the cracks and I didn't get around to writing a reply. My apologies for that. The Ideal being only the name of the Ideal is something that has always been like that for the sheet as it was the very first feature to be automated, before I had a good grasp of how the JavaScript for it would work and what would be the most user friendly. I will review how it works for a future version. Thank you for the suggestion! As for the issues with the Artificer, I am unable to reproduce the problem. Can you walk me through the steps, starting with a freshly downloaded sheet v13.0.0beta3, on how to get this issue to show itself? It would also be really helpful if you tell me what's in the progress bar when its stops progressing and if you tell me the JavaScript error that is occurring (if the progress bar is still visible but you can continue using the sheet, then the JS stopped and has an error). If no JS error is showing, it could be that you first have to turn on JavaScript error reporting in the settings of Adobe Acrobat. You can do that under Edit >> Preferences >> JavaScript >> Show console on errors and messages. Thank you.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Thank you for reporting the HP issue! More people have reported the problem, but you are the first to have a comprehensive way of reproducing the problem. I will have this fixed for the next beta! As for the attacks not changing. That is somewhat intentional. I don't want the sheet to recalculate all the attacks whenever you change an ability score, because that would slow things down a lot. However, I can change the ability score dialog to have the attacks be recalculated after closing the dialog. You can expect this change in the next beta as well!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

You can track exhaustion on the third page if you are using the Colourful versions, or on the Player Reference page if you are using the Printer Friendly versions.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Minor issue I've noticed and replicated. Using the v13.0.0beta3 sheet. When creating a new character I set it to adventures league, assign class, race, then scores. If i then change the scores using the pop-up scores window it will update the scores in the sheet but the HP total does not change until i go back into the scores window and hit Apply a second time. I'm not sure if this is even a feature of the sheet but I also noticed that if there is a weapon assigned that you can choose whether to use dex or str (finesse, thrown, or martial arts weapons) and it defaulted to the current better score (ie using dex for attack and damage if it is higher) it does not update the weapon entry to the better score if you rework the ability scores. For example, build a character with a 10 str & 16 dex, equip a dagger to the attacks section of the sheet (it will us dex as dex is the higher score), then change the scores around so that the character has a higher strength the attack section will still show the dagger using dex. I can then manually change it to use strength, but thought I would mention it in case it was supposed to change.

Marc Stevenson

First off, Thank you for spending countless hours creating and improving these amazing character sheets. I have noticed something last week that i've never considered. Where on the sheet would we record levels of exhaustion? Perhaps, I have overlooked it.

David Street

I understand the want for more content for the sheets, but I have limited myself to only adding the playtested, officially published WotC material and Unearthed Arcana. Anything other than that you can add yourself using custom import scripts. There is one available for the One Grung Above from DMs Guild here: <a href="https://github.com/safety-orange/Imports-for-MPMB-s-Character-Sheet/blob/master/Homebrew/dmsguild_20171011_One-Grung-Above.js" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://github.com/safety-orange/Imports-for-MPMB-s-Character-Sheet/blob/master/Homebrew/dmsguild_20171011_One-Grung-Above.js</a> I understand that the "One Grung Above" seems to be in a bit of a grey area as far as official WotC materials go, but that is just because it is published on DMs Guild under the WotC account because of a charity event. It is not official content as far as WotC is concerned (and hence not allowed in Adventurers League).

MorePurpleMoreBetter

The Grung race would make a good addition. The "One Grung Above" publication has the details.

aqueousErbium

Thank you for reporting even the minor grammatical errors. I will change it in the next beta :)

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Just a minor thing, but the description of the Poultices for the Spell-less Ranger says "amount of Poultices" when it should be "number of Poultices" :)

FreakyAlienGenotype

I got these two of them to download without a problem from Avast, both of the printer friendly ones. Which is fine for now. I can still beta test those.

Kat Smith

I can't download them from Drive. It fails when Drive is looking for virus, so the web browser cannot start the download. I download from here anyway, and Bitdefender doesn't detect it as a virus.

AmezyarakRPG

Thank you for reporting the issue with the Arcane Trickter's cantrips. I have found the problem and it will be fixed in the next beta! As for your other comment (which I can't find anymore), the Arcane Trickster only gets to choose 2 cantrips at 3rd level because one of the known cantrips is always Mage Hand.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Thank you for reporting any issues you find with the betas. However, I'm unable to reproduce this issue. Can you walk me through the steps to get the sheet to do this, starting with a freshly downloaded PDF v13.0.0beta3? You didn't mention what version of the PDF you are using. Please write the complete version of the character sheet when reporting a bug (e.g. '13.0.0beta3 Printer Friendly - Redesign'). The issue you are describing is very similar to something that was a problem in v13.0.0beta2, but has since been fixed in v13.0.0beta3. Might it be that you were using v13.0.0beta2? If so, can you reporduce the issue in v13.0.0beta3?

MorePurpleMoreBetter

When trying to create an Arcane Trickster using the latest beta (13.0.0beta3) the spells dialogue only brings up Minor Illusion and Friends as the available cantrips instead of all the Wizard cantrips. I have imported successfully all the source material into the character sheet. I am using Windows 10 on a Surface 3.

FreakyAlienGenotype

Testing it out right now and the Constitution bonus doesn't seem to be added to the Hit Points. To get it to do it, I had to tap through my abilities after using "Scores" to select them, then it will calculate the Hit Points correctly afterwards.

Jesper Nøhr

Might it be that you are using Avast or AVG? Than please see my most recent post, about those giving false positive warnings.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Please use the latest beta to see if the problem persists there as well. It should already be fixed in v13.0.0beta3

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Excellent job on the updated sheet! The spell generation is soooo much faster! One thing I found while using version 13.0.0beta2 is that, when I have all the UA modules loaded and build a Variant Human Celestial Warlock, the bonus cantrip Light is not automatically entered in the spell generation window. The dropdown where it should be is initially empty and when I select Light and generate the spell sheet, instead of the Light cantrip showing up on the spell page I get the Mystic psionic talent Light. The same thing happens when I build a Protector Aasimar and generate the spell sheet for their racial spell Light Bringer.

Jeramie Brown

MPMB! I have attempted to save my sheet with Adobe Reader DC but it refuses to do so, stating: "The Document could not be saved. Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software." Is this a known Issue? Do you have a workaround for this? Otherwise, things seem pretty great, and spell generation has been going much faster as well! (Should specify, this is for Beta 13.0.0beta3).

Corey Wilson

Thank you for reporting the issue with the Arcane Trickter's cantrips. I have found the problem and it will be fixed in the next beta!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

I dont think this is a bug, its been something Ive noticed for a while. When working on the Personality Traits and such, all of them pop up with info except Ideals? Any possibility of getting the Ideals to also have a pop up window with explanation? Something I have noticed.. When building an artificer, when selecting their magic item to add, it puts a note on another page, but it shows a progress bar that never ends.. So Im thinking there is something else that should be going? I left the page running over night with no change.

Jason Silver

Much Faster than previous versions; spell list loaded in seconds! One slight issue, for the arcane trickster, the illusion and enchantment restriction has been put on cantrips too, so you can only choose friends and minor illusion.

George Redwood

Hey I got mentioned! Great job as always, mpmb. :)

Smashman

I haven't had the chance to test it extensively, just wanted to say i LOVE the improvements to spell sheet generation!!! I have 18 players and between them I have ever class except bard. I'll be migrating them all over to test the functionality when I'm trapped on a plane for 5 hrs this Sunday!

Avinash Arora

I can't remember if multiclassing is supposed to work this way or not, but it didn't wrap into one of the notes sections. It was a cleric 10/paladin 6. For some reason the paladin subclass info got mixed in with the cleric stuff (and out of level order, too, all going in before the cleric 2 info), and the main paladin class stuff was a separate set of entries.

soilentbrad

Thank you for reporting even the minor textual issues, improvements for the text are always welcome!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Minor grammatical issue I've noticed with the Hexblade text in both v13.0beta2 and v12.999 — the Hex Warrior feature reads in part: "I have to be proficient with the weapon and that is can't have the two-handed property". Excellent work as usual!

Eric Kooistra

Hi Jay, Are you perhaps running Avast or AVG? Those anti-virus software are falsely flagging the betas as containing a virus. If you want to continue to use the beta, you will have to add an exclusion to the anti-virus. I have sent a false positive report to both Avast and AVG, but it will take several weeks for them to resolve this issue. There is unfortunately little else I can do about it. Cheers, Joost

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Thank you for reporting this issue! I see that the UA:FO listing of Zariel Tiefling still has the wrong spell listed in the Racial Traits, causing the problem. I will fix this momentarily, and also for the v12.999 files where this problem is also present. As for the feature request, that will have to go on the very long list of feature requests. The issue with adding all possible attack options, like spells, to the attack section is that the space is very limited so you will very quickly run out of space listing them all. Also, you would have to write every one of these attack options out as a full weapon using the WeaponsList syntax, which is a lot of work. If somebody (you maybe?) is willing to do the legwork, I'm sure such a feature can be realised. If it will depend on my writing out all these things in the right syntax, I don't think such a feature will come anytime soon ;) [note that with legwork I mean find all spells that work like this, writing the WeaponsList entry for them while ALSO having the people of this patreon vote for such a feature being added, as it will require some new functions being added to the sheet]

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Me too - with AVG

Mike Tree

Having the same issue. Version: 13.0.0beta2 - Printer Friendly - Redesign Problem: Adding gear individually appears to work fine using the arrow to the left of each line. Using the "Add Equipment" button at the bottom of the inventory section does not accomplish anything though. Nothing shows up in the inventory regardless of trying to load packs, gear, tools, background items, armor or weapons. Otherwise this sheet is a huge improvement over the 12.9 version. The load speed is amazing.

Marc Stevenson

I'm having the same problem.

DBG

I keep getting an Avast warning on the pdfs and they get aborted. I might have to download on my phone.

Kat Smith

Also, AMAZING WORK! This beta is blowing my mind.

Version: 13.0.0Beta2 - Printer Friendly - Redesign Zariel Tielfling Spell at 5th level is listed as web. The correct spell should be Branding Smite. Only the racial description is incorrect; the spell sheet updates with the correct spells. To reproduce: Make any level of character and set the race to Zariel Tiefling. ###### Additionally, I have a feature request: If we have a spell that grants a special weapon, such as Shadow Blade, can that the weapon the spell creates be added to the ATTACKS: WEAPONS & CANTRIPS box? It's a bit niche, I know, but it would be neat to have. :)

Bartholomew Klick and Zachary Stoppel

Hi there! Love the sheet a bunch! Got a small issue, though, with inserting items in the 13.beta2 sheet, as in: when I pick single items, it works alright, but it doesn't import packs the way it used to (it doesn't add anything when I do). Anyone else got this problem?

Chris Spork

Hi. Amazing work but I could not add equipment with 13.beta2

Jakub Bańka

I'm still having trouble downloading it from here or google drive, and even my copy of 13beta has vanished.

Hi Johnny, I don't have a problem selecting mounts without them getting the attributes of the Find Steed spell. Are you perhaps not selecting them using the "Race" drop-down box on the companion page? The menu only offers the options for the special cases. In the "Race" drop-down box you can find a lot more options :) You can even just type in the name, you don't have to use the drop-down box. Just type "Horse" for the race on the companion page and you'll see all the stats for a riding horse being filled out.

MorePurpleMoreBetter

Not a bug but I was wondering why mounts from the phb aren’t an option under companions. You have all of them loaded but then they get the ranger or paladin traits. Just wondering if you’d considering changing it for us non casters. Cheers and thanks for a wonderful app.

Johnny On

Ah! There are three places for each race to write down the racial ability score increases and one of those places was missed for the MToF Eladrin. You will see it appear correctly in the Ability Score Dialog but not in the Racial Trait section. This has nothing to do with the beta, just with the MToF import script. Nevertheless, thank you very much for reporting this!

MorePurpleMoreBetter

13.0.0 Beta Printer Friendly - Redesign on Windows. Adding in that the Eladrin stats are incorrect for MToF. It reads +2 Dex, +1 Int or Cha, but MToF Eladrin are only +2 Dex, +1 Cha. The UA was the only entry that gave you a choice and I do not have the UA for Eladrin & Gith loaded into the sheet.

Luna

13.0.0 Beta Printer Friendly Version. When adding the "Courtier background", the autofills do not autofill, like the other backgrounds do. For example, when floating over the skills section, there is no note about which skills come it it. In addition, the additional languages are not added. Thank you.

john mcgrath

On WIndows. This is on all versions of the beta. When you have the Mystic UA loaded and you add the Shocking Grasp Cantrip that is able to get it it shows up as a Psion Power Grasp under the discipline header. Moving the Mystic UA over to the left side again returns this to the correct spell being displayed.

Larry Hook

On Windows, in MPMB's Character Record Sheet (v13.0.0beta) [Printer Friendly].pdf, creating a Druid with 2nd level spells adds the Gust cantrip to the list of 2nd level spells. I think this is supposed to be Gust of Wind instead.

Oooo. I've got a game tomorrow. Perfect chance to test this.

Background skill proficiencies aren't being added automatically, and hovering over your skills doesn't show which ones can be taken, either. Update: Background items and tool/language proficencies also aren't being added either.

You can order the skills by ability score (just click on them). Really putting the skills next to the ability score is a different design choice and not something that I see the sheets supporting in the near future.
