I don't like full height tile walls, especially in kitchens, and the taller the wall is the less realistic it gets. So I was really excited by the tile + wainscot that came with Parenthood, but less excited when I saw how specific the tile patterns are. So I took the drywall and the base game tiles and thought about what would work equally well in a kitchen and a bathroom and arrived at Gristle Glue. A month of messing around in GIMP later and bugging the life out of anyone and everyone who knows anything about walls in this game and we have this!
All 3 of the original Gristle Glue swatches are present as well as 22 colors from my Historic Decor Palette. Historic Decor was developed by looking at vintage decor magazines from 1920-1960, inputting images with color palettes into gimp and eye-dropping them. There are 96 (I think) colors in the palette with a strong emphasis on blue and green. I chose the ones that looked "right " to me as tile. The colors in this palette have a nuance to them I quite like.
What you need to know:
- There are some faint seams that are visible under certain lighting conditions, mainly in outdoor lighting.
- Base Game Compatible
-25 colors, the 3 original Gristle Glue swatches, PLUS 22 colors from my Historic Decor Palette.
