When we artists find a piece of foliage in a set, we fuckin' latch on and put it in every shot lemme tell ya Heh YEAH and I don't reckon he's that much taller than Tex, if at all, so - big Looming game there, Director. Tex's faces were the big challenge, crushin' those into gems. Glad that worked, too! I love-hate-love our fucked-up newfound fondness for Tex, it just enhances everything. That cactus is baller, love the behind-the-plant angle, yes. BUT. Your framing is what really kicks ass here. You have some choice shots, putting them in v. cinematically appealing positions as they have this discussion and as she approaches. I really like that. The fact he JUST stands over her is powerful. I love the hand under the chin, and how she looks away -- you *see* that regret in her face and yet know she's not going to fight back or complain. This is the bed she made, and she isn't going to leave it. That's just who she is, and I *adore* that about her because...well, we know why already. 5 and 7 are the best. Her tail on the desk is such a well-done little detail. I ADORE that. And her claws scratching the side, gawd. It's perfect with what he's saying, because he's such a creep and she could *easily* discombobulate his entire bodyplace, but. She doesn't. It doesn't even feel like she's not-murdering him because of Church. There are layers to the decisions she makes and the relationships she involves herself in, and that is the real punch with her choice to let this happen. Girl's got depth that I know a lot of folks won't appreciate, but goddamn do I love a fucked up "hero".
