That's the end of chapter 17! I'll be cooking the cover page to chapter 18 shortly - thank you guys for the huge amount of support! It makes this comic go 'round.

That blue 'round the edges worked super-good for this whole chapter, I'm glad. Past few chapters been some srs LIGHTNING practice as well, apparently. Thankee for the props on frame 2, because that took an extra minute! Hadn't tried that effect before. Ahaha right, he's weirdly... dignified? Almost like he's legit mourning somebody's loss as well, hmmmm. Heh, you know us - we'll bust out all our writing AND visual tricks, colors included. Tex's outro feels good to get off paper and onto a page, fo' sho. Woof, imagine I went with my first draft for that Wash pose. It was *okay,* but I'm glad I took a second shot at it. Poor crumpled!cone. Ow, mah back. *volcano hup*

He's a slippery bastard - but right, poor Tex! She can't do right by Church no matter what she does, feels like.

Can I bring back a HNNNNNNGH plz. (lmao fuck you for WINRAR) God, you pulled out the stops here. Tex on her motorcycle is a strong start, and your speedpainted backgrounds just *continue* to kick so much ass. I really love the barely-blue in the corner, and that lightning-strike is just, hnnngh. It's really well done. Holy SHIT the lighting in Frame 2 is hella killer. And y'know what, you get extra kudos because the Director don't look like a fawkin' creep here. Kinda ironic, with him putting his hand on her shoulder, but you captured it just right and it isn't unsettling this time. Maybe it's her face, maybe it's the way he's standing behind and to the side...it is *so* good, though. The light of that damn board, though. And her walking out with all the dead Alphas, yeah. That's powerful shit. I LOVE your transition back. Very goddamn clever fading from yellow back to white on those dialogue boxes for Tex :allears: I see that orange and blue highlighting, too. "I can't lose anyone else in my shadow" is SUCH a ringer, you killed the whole chapter with THAT one alone, seriously. This is so Tex, and it gives her such a depth that I know at least *we* appreciatin'. ...And yeah. This last panel is. Goddamn. The monitor's light over Wash is great, but it's his pose. That head dropped into hand, the tail drooping down. This is beyond perfect for the last shot. It hits hard in all the best ways, and your framing of Wash and his single word and position on the desk...yeah. Pat yourself on the back, because if ya don't, I'll do it twice. Can't wait for 18, yo. Keep on truckin' <3

I feel for Tex, all she wanted was to protect Church but thought she lost him because of the director. Though if the director is dead yhen that's a bit of a bummer, would have liked to see him in present times
