Sassy Silver Spoon

Hello everyone,

during my vacation, my mother and I sometimes just sat at the table and enjoyed the silence while she's been reading a book and I've been drawing. Doing so, I took the time to practice painting on my tablet instead of working with lineart and such, I practiced some lineless painting with one of my favourite brushes hehe^^

This is the result of the first round doing it and it first got me pretty upset and disappointed since in between it looked strange and unbearable for me, I almost scrapped it lol. Well, I tried to go on and I think I came to a result I can be satisfied with more or less for a first practice round. I could have spent more time on it, go more into details and make it look cleaner but I also wanted to keep that painted, kinda quick and dirty look to it that makes the brush so enjoyable to work with in my opinion. Besides, except for her glasses, everything was painted on one layer which is pretty rare for me and that means I feel kind of proud of it XD Hopefully I get to practice that even more in the future.

I must say I like the way she looks, her expression and the colours in general. I'm pleased with the outcome of this painting and I actually found it fun once it appeared decent looking to my eyes. Challenging but worth it in the end.
The fact that I drew Silver Spoon is that :iconsnoopystallion: and I have been talking about her and I thought it might make him smile seeing her. So yeah, there we go with that sassy little filly :P

I really hope you like this one and I'm looking forward to your feedback :D

Oh my, I doubt it would be her filly, but it definitely suits her character/overall behaviour. I could see them as sisters, as well^^ Or Sassy Response being her aunt or something XD Yep, that fits. Thank you so very much for your kind words, Taily. I can't express how much they mean to me. And to be honest, I'm glad or even relieved I didn't scrap it... yes. Really happy you like it, thanks a lot <3

Sassy Response getting a sassy filly :p tbh it feels nice to do something that feels natural, that's why I usually sketch on physical paper, but on your case it's painting on one layer to sort of replicate painting on paper, now you know how it was much harder ;p great job on this tho this turned out amazing, glad you didnt scrap it and pushed forward and saved it in the end and not throwing it away like it was a piece of garbage xD
