Arcanine and Growlithe

I think I finished a new favourite traditional art piece of mine that I am super proud of! Have a very cute drawing of two of my favourite Pokémon - Arcanine and Growlithe! These two are so adorable and I had an idea for these two during my vacation so I started drawing it!
I see them as some kind of dog and lion mix creature - hence the dog like behavior and appearance but also the lion-like mane and claws. I then wanted to emphasize the floof but make it wholesome and decided for Arcanine to clean a littly bratty Growlithe like Simba gets cleaned in The Lion King by his mother XD I figured this might looks super cute and I loved the sketch already, making me even more inspirewd to colour this in! I was only limited with my yellow and orange markers, but I think I managed to capture them quite well!
Last but not least I added a little bit of a colour gradient with a purple-ish red colour to break away from the warm, yellow shades and have some variety in it without being too complex and confusing.
All in all I'm absolutely happy with the result of this drawing and I'm proud this came from my hands. I somehow want to keep it and yet I think it deserves better, meaning it should go into good hands. I might sell this art piece while a part of me cries XD
