It's funny too because they had multiple paint colors to choose from -- so they are not "black" only because there was no option. They were depicted as they were seen.

Exactly. We have to overcome the errors and sins of our ancestors. Even today, if your father was a murderer or an adulterer we have to turn away from that and uphold the commandments.

About the altering of the artifacts - Yeah I'm learning that the term "Iconoclast" - one which modern whites are so proud of, actually means 'one who destroys the icons'. Now I see they did this to hide who is really depicted in so many of the ancient artworks - the so-called black man and woman. Really interesting....

Nah, dont pay attention to the colors...its...its meant to be figurative for their personalities hehee, yeah thats it. Ancient people had never seen anyone black so the colors just symbolize attitudes, because, hey look a bird π¦

Ive seen these same images of greeks at the walters art museum in Baltimore md years ago, and i noticed that they were depicted as dark skin back then. I really caught on when i saw different shades of blacks on numerous pieces of pottery
