For all the trade talk, I feel the only path to salvaging this season is for at least three of these things to happen: 1) CP3 and GP2 both return and make it through the playoffs 2) Wiggins returns to form (as in, any version of pre 2023 Wiggins offensively, and any post 2019 Wiggins defensively) 3) Draymond maintains his offensive form and stays on the court 4) JK maintains his recent level of play I’m not saying the parlay is likely. I’m just saying these all happening seems like a safer bet than some trade actually saving the season.

Yea I understand that too. But having Steph help isn’t doing anything but creating another hole in the defense. He isn’t making the secondary rotation he needs too. He is slow to x out or recover back to the corner. Or downright refusing to move as the ball swings around. And I get he needs to save energy for the offensive end. Which is why he just shouldn’t be in a help defense role all that often.

The biggest difference I saw from yesterday was that the team (despite the obvious circumstances) was playing some amount of joy. They looked like they were genuinely happy to be out there again, other than Steph's bad defense and smoking basically all his layups. If Steph is having "bad" games of 25-8 and everyones playing with joy, fuck it, I'll take it. But here we go again with WIGGINS IS BACK! HE'S SHOWING EFFORT AGAIN! This has been our defensive issues. The “big men” don’t actually do their job hence the over helping. Imagine having Capela or Gobert on bigs like AD, Sabonis etc. You live with the 1 v 1 matchup but at least you trust them to have a good contest down there. Looney and Dario almost gets cooked by every big in the league

Tough game to break down knowing the energy that was with the team. Happy for the win. RIP Deki. Stephs hero ball play will always be worth it to me. He is just that guy. Some nights it won’t work. But more often than not, it will. And he doesn’t do it every possession. It’s just highlighted when the result is bad. However, his defense has just been so bad this season. Constantly over helping, and then staying as the low man and having Looney, Dario, TJD run out to the shooter. It doesn’t make any sense. Kuminga been playing at a VERY high level the last few weeks. If you watch every time he is in the game the team just plays better. What I don't understand is why does it take Kerr so long to put him in the second half of games? He is legit the 3rd best player almost the second best player. For example - the recent Dunc'd On podcast purposed a Wiggins deal to the Hornets for Gordan Hayward. They concluded, that if the Warriors included Moody, then it would be a nice exchange for Charlotte, but only because they have proven to be poor in free agency and no one wants to go there. Giving up a pick or Miody like that to save money would be illogical. We only get 1 or two moves left in this window and they have to solve the defensive and front court issues. Trading Wiggins is the weak move, the string move, is to sell on Klay while he's playing alright offensively. Klay + 2 firsts could get Murray and Capella. Most see Capella's deal as a negative

Wish I could just send an audio, cause it's too much to type - but simplified, Warriors call an opposing GM for player X, a player who is desirable around the league - if that GM is willing to sell, he likely isn't looking to contend - he's looking to rebuild or at least reshuffle the deck. He wants young players, draft, capital, and/or expiring contracts (to create optionality in free agency & get under the tax). They are always gonna ask for CP or Klay if a big salary is required in the exchange. Wiggs is currently a negative salary, so it doesn't make sense to deal him now - his role needs to be recalibrated as a bench weapon. Dubs fans are worried about his long term money, but trying to make an up grade through selling a negative stock is more a financial move rather than a roster construction move towards contending. It's CP or Klay plus picks, and maybe Podz or Mood. The only player out there that Kuminga could be in play for, in Markkanen.

I promise I'm not expert lol.....but what many of us have been saying is that it's clear kuminga is our 2nd best scorer and it isn't close. Finally we are attacking mismatches...and actually letting kuminga handle the ball and get a screen. Been calling for this for 3 years. Sad it basically had to be forced on the coaching staff. What would makes sense would to empower jk and continue to make this a key in how we attack teams but under kerr wouldn't surprise me if a few early mistakes in a game from jk erases all the good and its back to square 1 lol

If we can play consistent defense like we did in the 2nd half moving forward, we don't need a trade! We held the Hawks to 38% shooting in the 2nd half... I can't remember the last time we played defense like that. Not only did we play better defense, I think we found our closing lineup in Draymond, Steph, Klay, Wigs and Kuminga. Every team is hunting Steph on defense these days so we need a lineup that's big enough to cover for his deficiencies (not to mention his defense has fallen off a cliff this year). If he is going to be this big of a liability on defense, I'm not so sure he can still lead a team to a championship. That's always been the knock on Dame right? Father time has arrived for Steph, it won't be much longer until someone else supplants him as the best player on this team.

Doesn't have to be that drastic. A lot more off ball plays, and adopt a more energy efficient dribble, ie Luka. And I think Alch is on the money, he can't train like he used to anymore. Probably needs a complete overhaul in his regime, should most likely just copy what Bron is doing. It's not just genetics that's kept that man elite for so long. i think Moody, CP3, and GP2 might be expendable if we are going to make a trade. CP will be the center piece as his contract is expiring. Loved the overall effort from the group and as sad as with Deki leaving us too soon i think it will put perspective on what is important in life and make every player want to play better team ball. We can accomplish more when you dont care about stats or credit and last night felt like that. Honestly though, if no trades are made i still think we can contend but it would be great to swap a guard for another 4/5

Was pretty choked up seeing Deki’s widow so emotional. Overall was very classy the way everything was handled but I feel like could’ve held back on some of the shots of his family given their reactions. Quinn Snyder pulling up in the Linda Belcher glasses was crazy 😂 Kuminga and Wiggins look better together out there with Draymond back communicating on offense and defense. More of those 3 please and less of the Looney Dario combo. Steph Klay Wiggs JK Dray is our highest ceiling lineup and the closest we’ll get to another death lineup.

It's like Kuminga is unlocking a different gear. His mind and body look way more in sync. When he's patient and methodical he's hard to stop. I DO NOT want to trade him away. And I'm someone that's wanted Dejonte since last season. Warriors FO in a tough spot. As for Steph, I saw what you saw with his legs looking cooked. Aside from training, what can he really adjust on the court to have more energy? They used him as a decoy a lot last night but sheesh. I've never seen Steph miss as many layups as this season.

I think as Stephs aging, he's slowing down, but he doesn't realize it mentally. He's still forcing the same pace, but everything takes 20% more effort now. Since he uses such a fast twitch gliding dribbling style, it consumes so much more energy than he realizes at this age. By the time he reaches the rim hes already gassed and the shot ends up short.

If Wiggs is putting in effort again, and his trade value is rock bottom, doesn't it make more sense to just keep Wiggins? I just don't see what gamechanger the Dubs can land that doesn't include Kuminga. Which I think would be a monumentally stupid move.
