Claudio Cesar Esteffan Sepulveda

Funny!

MarieMarie Bekele

Great question!

MarieMarie Bekele

I drove from Denver to see this game. Interesting note, i couldn't find jerseys at the chase center that weren't Steph, Dray, or Podz. I'm sure they have a bigger shop with everyone, but the small stores all had podz as the 3rd jersey option. Felt like an agenda lol idk just a thought i had

Pelvis

"You have to finish with more authority, I don't care if it's Gobert or spirit of Dikembe out there" :)))))))))

balkonski15

News just came in that Draymond is moving to the bench for JK to start moving forward. If this is the direction they are taking then I need to see the ball in JK's hands more. Let him develop into the primary decision maker.

Jimmy Ji

I think it has to do with how you generate the force in your shot. Steph is a lot of wrist. Klay a lot of leg. But yeah generally a bigger player like Lopez or guys who shoot a set shoot that should age better

Athletic Alchemy

Alch, want your opinion on an idea about Steph, Klay and now Buddy aging wrt to 3pt efficiency. I always hear that shooters will be able to shoot as they age, but I don’t agree for smaller or injured players. I don’t hoop anymore, but I do know how much strength it takes just to reach the rim from 24’ out, let alone shoot it straight. I would think that smaller players like Steph and injured players like Klay have to see long range shooting decline as they move out of their physical prime. OTOH, I would think naturally strong players like LeBron, Harden, Lopez…. Would have a bigger strength margin to draw from as they age and decline. Does this have any merit? When I watch Steph and Buddy, it seems that fatigue and minor injury really affect their 3balls.

SAOpp

I’m glad you mentioned the turnovers because I think that’s really the main cause of these losses… along with just cold shooting.

David Post

It’s just a disgusting trend that has plagued Kerr’s coaching

Jansen E

Tough stretch of games man...

Sunny Singh

Where tf did the energy TJD had in his indiana days go

Andrew Lee

I'm starting to run out of things to say. If really feels like Kerr is throwing shit at the wall to see what works and in the process is making sure that nothing does.

Neal X

There is a new Awful Coaching video that goes into all our defensive shortcomings from this game (gambling, unnecessary help, etc.). I wonder what your take on that is.

Ben

I said it on Alchs little youtube video on the issue too. This team no longer has the luxury of being able to turn the ball over and still win games easily. All that talent and IQ on those rosters has pretty much gone. It's a much older Steph and Dray and bunch of role players that vary in quality year in and year out. The system and style of play has to change to reflect the personnel on the floor. There is nothing wrong philosophically with trying to get out in transition as much as possible it's where this team is best given the lack of shot creation in the half court. But it's the way it's being done. The way Stackhouse apparently keeps guys accountable on defence with a points system they need something similar for turnovers. And it starts with Kerr, Steph and Draymond.

Alasdair Macdonald

I totally forgot we even had Knox lol

Neal X

Yeah I was calling Post basically Dario with shoes. Too bad.

Neal X

I thought about that when I saw him shadowing Steph warming up in PHX

Athletic Alchemy

he sees the floor way better by I get your point

Athletic Alchemy

It feels like the more we struggle on offense, the more the team just starts throwing ridiculous passes because they believe that has more chance of getting us points than our half court offense. Fix the offense and you'll reduce the turnovers (the caveat is that Steph and Dray will still try to make homerun plays).

Captain Rossco

I agree with this. I think the big picture issue is that Draymond/Steph together is too much of a license to play old warriors style basketball which equals motion offense/turnovers/hunting Steph. To me, Dray & JK works perfectly in a lot of cases but I think Dray & Steph is the combo that makes it hard for anything new to happen. Kinda like separating the two kids in class who get real rowdy together 😂

yan't get right

Podz is just an unathletic version of westbrook

Kurtis Forge

Is Podz trying to duplicate Curry’s flick when he shoots?

Brandon

Podziemski, Waters, and Spencer on the floor at the same time while Anderson picks his boogers. Kerr's fascination with small guards is wild.

Goku44

Kuminga couldn't crack 30 minutes in a game where Wiggins left due to injury. Just trade him at this point. They clearly don't respect him.

Goku44

In retrospect, Draymond & JK have been on a collision course since the original starting lineup was abandoned. After the losing streak + the Houston game, the pro -Draymond camp had to wave the white flag. Good luck to JK. Hope he makes it work.

Ejikeme Uzoigwe

Why start kuminga and sit draymond? It's like 1 step foward 2 steps back. Kerr so hell bent on putting JK at the 4

ACowNamedStan

I guess you haven't watched Santa Cruz. Post is a Dario Saric-like defender, completely barn door. He'll never make the NBA. Beekman, for his defense, or Rowe, for his energy might help.

Jerry Heverly

He's never been asked to, so he doesn't have the experience doing it. He has the mentality; you just have to give him the green light - go hard, take it at Rudy, we don't care if you get blocked. You have to play with active disrespect against a shot blocker like that. If you play tentative, they're twice as effective.

Mike Peterson

Agree with giving Post some run, I mean why not at this point

Mitch Coob

I do agree with you, there needs to be some adjustments it can't all just be motion offense because that's been so heavily scouted. But with the personnel we have it's going to be a tough climb.

Dashaya Toney

It's gotta be a balance of introducing new techniques and phasing out old ideas slowly. It's not gonna look pretty right away but we gotta thug it out. Any attempts to lean too heavily on Steph will just give us the same exact result as last season

yan't get right

They gonna call up Kevin knox I think, Pat is a non-shooter like Podz, sit both of them down, let gui and Knox play. Let Slow Mo and Donkey handle the rock, we don’t need another midget PG steve

Natto Santo

Growing pains are growing pains. Change is violent and slow tbh. We finally stand on business with Kuminga after 4 years of not doing it (last year was fake because Draymond got himself benched), can't immediately expect it to result in a 10-game winning streak. This is a GREAT sign for the organization, I pray for no backtracking. It's actually a really good thing that we play them again Sunday. We're gonna learn so much more about the experiment. And I think the main reason Dray is irritable is because him not starting against the TWolves just gives Rudy more ammo against him lmao

yan't get right

LMFAO I peeped her too

Dashaya Toney

Shit is pitiful, i dont understand the issue where they constantly put 4-5 people in the paint on defense. They are doing it no matter who is the primary defender. WTF is going on defensively. Also why tf is Podz starting over Dray? He is shooting worse than Dray from 3 and a lesser defender. Start Spencer or something but fuck. They need to make some trades! Everyone needs to be available except Steph cuz Podz looks like hot garbage, Moody can’t play defense,TJD is in the game getting cardio.

Kahlil Baker

Let’s pray for March Kuminga in December 😭

Sarcasm 360

I’m not feeling any of the young guys tbh but idc what’s going on all healthy start Moody because I’ll take his 3 point shooting over Podz connector abilities, I just realized style wise he has a chance to be Melton better than Podz.

Sarcasm 360

To tell you how much I disliked this game, I spent too much time hoping for a closeup of the white shirt in the front row near the guest bench.

e40

People keep going on and on about the system not working and how they need to implement more traditional offense...the real issue is they NEED to play in the system because of their offensive personnel. Curry is the only player on the entire roster that can consistently create for both himself and others off the dribble. On the ENTIRE ROSTER. When Kuminga isolates it's a shot for himself, or an inaccurate pass to the perimeter that allows the defense to recover. When Wiggins drives he loses the ball half the time because of his suspect handle (Kuminga guilty of this as well). And nobody else can even beat their guy off the dribble. This spirals into all the predictable split actions and motion offense, because they don't get good consistent offense otherwise. And I know people will talk about PnR and how effective it was in the Houston game, but you can only run so much pick and roll when 2 of your best screeners in Loon and Dray are not offensive threats. Curry is extremely effective as a screener but he can't screen 30 times in a game up top without putting a lot of extra milage on his body. Wiggins is inconsistent as a screener and Kuminga is really bad. All this to say that you can't expect the entire offense to be scrapped when it's not working because thats what the personnel dictates.

Dashaya Toney

seeing Post play could be interesting if he doesn't get foderized in the paint and hits a 3 or 2 id be happy

MaxShade18

He did but you gotta try to mismatch hunt sum else, playing Kuminga vs Randle straight up after every other action failed throughout the game was grating to my eyes

Sarcasm 360

I do agree that Kyle should be getting Trayce's minutes especially against bigger C's like Rudy

Freqwinci

I'm happy for Kuminga that he's finally getting a chance to get more minutes and starting. But can't help thinking the team are screwing him again by only doing it now, during the hardest stretch of games....

Sam Booth

Sure but only 7 minutes played. I think him being cooked could turn around easier than Lindy coming in off of 2 DNPs trying to get going

Freqwinci

Kerr tried to play chess again with the lineups, tf was that in the 3rd? What is lost throwing Kuminga and Heild out there to try to get them going, so maybe Heild has something for the 4th? What would we have lost doing that instead of letting Kerr play dolls with them lineups? It’s funny but it ain’t.

Sarcasm 360

I think Randle is a tough match up for JK. He can out physical a lot of guys that are bigger than him but JR is top 5 physical in the L. He did ight tho

Athletic Alchemy

Wolves been holding guys to 90 or less I’ll give them that, but Randle has 30 pounds on Kuminga, Rudy was allowed to play in drop the whole game, and the turnovers ffs…

Sarcasm 360

fair.. although Mood was getting cooked in his min.

Athletic Alchemy

I think we could have won with Wiggs/Moody available. Forced us to make in game adjustments that are hit and miss with Kerr

Freqwinci

his archetype all struggle against big rim protectors

Athletic Alchemy

Kuminga isn’t a star because he can’t attack bigger centers.
