Referees Bill Kennedy, Brent Barnaky & Mousa Dagher are taking care of their parlays. Adam Silver obviously knows this. He has no qualms asking Steph for help on the All-Star Games yet he refuses to protect the players and integrity of the NBA games itself.

If it’s caused by inflammation, cortisone shots could be used to bring down the swelling but with the risk of causing long term degeneration to the joint if it’s used too much. In my case the impingement was with a nerve so that didn’t help much but the term covers anything getting “caught” in the ankle during movement. So it could just be something more minor like a tendon or muscle instead I believe. Because unless his is pretty minor like that I have no idea how he could even play on it! I couldn’t even squat to pick something up let alone shoot a jumper or dunk

The hulk hogan on GP2 at the end they also said was clean. Didn’t go through the others but there needs to be a fan made or 3rd party report that’s unbiased

But now I see they forced turnovers, too, ‘cause refs were “letting ‘em play” …‘til they weren’t. Really really weird. Guess I’m wondering what they do with the anger and drive now. Is it enough to make any kind of run (if refs don’t interfere)?

If you had to pick one team most likely to get the most out of Kuminga or even Podz, wouldn’t it be The Heat? I imagine Lacob giving MDJ the Jack Woltz speech about how a man in his position can’t afford to be made to look ridiculous.

The turnovers and general lack of offensive punch cost them this game. Steph is looking real old these days I can't lie so many situations now where he longer seems capable or interested of BBQing his defender in the way he once would have. I have serious issues with Podz at this point. I get that he hustles and does a lot of little things but his complete lack of offensive threat from his position simply makes his heavy minutes a huger offensive drag on this team. When Steph is out and Buddy is in Buddy should be more aggressive looking for his own shot they need to be calling plays for him because the team simply doesn't have enough offensive options not to. Credit the Rockets though they play hellacious defence I just wish the league was more consistent in how physical they let teams be.

Really appreciate you calling out the discrepancy in the foul call on the scramble mid-way through the fourth and the last play. That shit was egregious. I think it wasn't because the "league" wanted an outcome but likely because it's a home game and the refs feel the fans screaming on they heads. In the first 15 games, everything broke our way. Now we back to oh shit no no days from last year. It basically comes down to Steph's knees. He doesn't have that Super Sayan gear any more

Finally had surgery couple months back and the doc literally pulled the nerve out and away from the joint so now my whole foot’s numb. When that nerve gets pinched it’s legit like getting electrocuted everytime you squat or try jumping

Three days to rest at home before and after the that game, and ZERO chance of playing an extra game. Steph gotta give all the guys on near-minimum contracts $500k for messing up the final possession though lol Also maybe the sting of this defeat encourages them to address these late-game issues with some personnel changes. I still believe Podz has a bright future in this league, but a true veteran PG like Schroder would be great for those situations. We need seasoned players, not growing pains.

It's never gonna work. He craves control of the ball and seeks out plays that require pure heart. It's like you said: "when he knows the shot's coming it looks way better than an improv 3". He ain't Moody! So I know we all point to Melton's injury, but Podz (a 21-year old, mind you) filling in is showing exactly why there are almost NO young players out there who can compliment a steph curry motion offense in 2025. Lmao I sound like the Black Israelite of the Warriors community but if we keep fantasizing about trades where the motion offense is primary, our future is COOKED. Put Podz in charge of more stuff, he shouldn't be judged by the standards we judge Moody. It just feels like it's gonna be the Kuminga thing all over again where it'll be 3 years too late when we realize what kinda of player he actually is and start incorporating it

On top of the things you pointed out, the ball at 2:20 is CLEARLY off Amen Thompson and not Buddy. Also, when we got the backcourt violation, Kerr's yelling at HIS guys to get the ball over the line. It wasn't until Draymond came up and told him that the ball clearly changed possession during that ground-n-pound sequence that Kerr figured it out and questioned the refs about why the shot clock never reset. Messy game, maybe we didn't deserve to win, but the refs damn sure made sure we didn't.

2024-12-12 20:41:48 +0000 UTCJust a random JK thought…I’ve been a Kuminga skeptic for most of his career, just didn’t think he had the natural feel for the game a top-level winning player needs, especially on defense. I’ve long been in the ‘trade Kuminga’ camp, let someone else get enticed and disappointed by his freakish athleticism. But he’s winning me over. I’ve been especially impressed with his improved defense and rebounding over the last 5 or 6 games. On-ball, he’s been able to contain some top-notch dudes (like SGA and Ant), and he’s just where he needs to be much more often. Feels like something clicked. And offensively it feels like he’s figuring it out as well. In short, I’m super encouraged. Even if we don’t get a good trade, if JK continues on this trajectory and Wiggins stays healthy and dialed in, I like our team. (I’d like it more if we got Donte back. Imagine Lindy’s minutes - who I like - replaced by Donte. Yes please.) They need to be running lines for turnovers though, need some old school hard coaching there or something. Maybe a wall of shame for dumb turnovers with Steph and Dray at the top. If we protect the ball we can play with anyone.

If I am a GM negotiating JK's next contract, I am putting heavy incentives on his FT % for next season. I wouldn't be surprised if a coach tries hack-a-JK at some point this season especially if a team is playing from behind and is trying to disrupt our offense.
