September Update + Progress! [9/30/2022]

Hey peeps!

I just wanted to update you on my writing progress (and life progress) before the end of September!

First off: thank you to everyone for your support! It means the world. <3

LIFE REPORT? [Why are there pictures of teeth?]

So, as most of you are probably aware, I grew up very poor. As in, I lived in a car for a while, and at some points, went several days without eating poor.

Which meant my mother didn't have money for things like braces.

I grew up with crooked teeth, and it bothered me, but what was I supposed to do about it? I soldiered on and just did what I had to, but I always told myself that one day I would fix it.

Well, that day has almost come. <3

Two years ago, I managed to pay for invis-align treatment. They said my teeth were misshapen, that it would take longer than normal to fix (apparently most people take only 12 or 16 months with the trays, whereas I needed 25). 

If you look at the pictures above, you will see why. My teeth were pretty f*cked up.

But if you look at the current ones, I'm almost there! By the end of this year, I will have straight teeth, which I know isn't the biggest accomplishment ever, but it's one that makes me really happy, and it only took me half my life to achieve, lol

I just wanted to share it with you all. <3

MOVING + BABIES?!

Also, as most of you know, I've been trying to have a baby with John. Unfortunately, it hasn't happened yet. That's why we decided to seek fertility treatment.

And it also means we're moving.

John and I have found a place in Kansas, and we'll be moving in the month of October. We currently live in California (which is a dumpster fire, I do not recommend) so it'll be a fun two-day trip to drive to our new home! (read fun = super sad)

HOWEVER, Wichita KS has not one, not two, but THREE fertility clinics! Apparently, people like having babies in Kansas. John and I have an appointment with one, and we've decided we're going to live there forever and nest. <3

I also just wanted to let you guys know. I'm hoping we get to have a bundle of joy, but the plan is (and always has been) to give this an honest go, but if it doesn't work, to adopt. Either way, we want to have a family. <3

WHERE IS THE WRITING?

Here is a list of everything I've accomplished this month!

1. Attended DragonCon

2. Wrote 85k words

3. Visited KS, found a home, and returned to Cali

4. Packed my house

5. Wrote two short stories (one is up right now)

6. Set up the pre-order for Nexus Games 3 (Nov 29th)

7. SIGNED A DEAL for ALL audiobooks for Astra Academy series! Woo!

8. In the talks for Knightmare Arcanist comic book!! (Talking contracts now!)

9. Signed a contract to co-write a fantasy tournament book! OH MY GOD

10. Had final dentist consultation

11. Visited my mother in the hospital (she was about to die, but she's recovered, no need to worry, but it did drain a lot of my happiness for a full week and a half)

12.  And I got 7 of the god-creatures their artwork!

So, yeah - it was a busy month! I really want to get a lot of work done, and I want you guys to have all the rewards and extra super cool stuff first. o.o

POSTERS?

Speaking of which, people have been reaching out to me to say their posters have arrived! However, one person told me their poster came messed up. :c

If that also happened to you, please let me know! I will ship you a replacement right away.
