Writing Update [12/14/2022]

Hey peeps!

Happy holidays! lol

SO, just a quick update on posters and mixtiles: they're not yet to me for signing, but the company assured me they would arrive before Christmas, so I'm hoping to ship them out as soon as possible. Sorry for the delay! Apparently everyone and their mother is ordering stuff. o.o

Grandmaster Arcanist

So, I'm going through and doing all the hard edits, and finishing up the writing. You all will keep getting chapters, until it's all out (you all will see it before the release date). Keep an eye out for names! I've been putting names of peeps in there all over the place.

Mimic Arcanist

So, this one is going a little slower because it has a bunch of major spoilers for Grandmaster. I don't want to post the chapters until I've posted the spoilers! If that makes any sense? <.<

You guys will see this all, too. I'm aiming for a Feb release date. 

The audiobook is actually being handled by Tantor. They're a huge company that distributes physical audio CDs, as well as into libraries. That's why I went with them, instead of hiring a narrator myself. I hope you peeps are excited for that? >.>

Nexus Finale

The cover is the picture up there! Well, not quite, because the dragon should have no eyes, so changes need to be made. >.>

But it will be done! lol - this one won't come out until after Mimic Arcanist.

Hopefully you all like the cover? I love it so much, I might change the first book to have this new look. o.o

The Crown Tournament

This one is finished. Well, kinda. It has had 0 edits (since it's a secret project, I haven't been sharing it with anyone but you peeps) and I hesitate to just post it because it needs some work. Ryan did an amazing job helping me (and incorporating marital arts into the writing) and I really like how it turned out.

The main antagonist of the story has a bake-kujira, which is an undead ghost-whale, and it's one of my favorite mystical creatures of all time. I only briefly mentioned it one of the Arcanist novels, so I'm excited he gets some play here, lol

I hope you guys are hyped.

Star Marque + Ethereal Squadron

These guys are coming along slowly, but surely! They will be finished in 2023 as trilogies, but they are on the back burner just because there is less hype for them, and they are more my passion projects. <3

Christmas Presents?

Everyone here is entered into a "you know what" because I can't use that word in order to "get" something cool! It's a Christmas gift, so please look out for a special message if you get picked!

Personal

So, John and I still haven't had any luck on the baby front. I know very few people are invested in the random personal woes of a content creator, but I sometimes like closure to a story, even if minor, so I figured I would update you all so there's some resolution.

John has always wanted to have kids, lol - he's talked about it for years.

My brother (who went to prison twice for felony meth distribution) has 2 kids now with 2 baby mamas. I don't stay in touch with him (because I'm afraid he'll try to stab me with a screwdriver, like he did with our mother) but he somehow got my phone number and called me on his birthday to inform me that he was doing great. By that, I mean he's apparently into crypto, tattoos people for money (all under the table) and still has some of his teeth.

So, that's a win? Better than being back in prison!

I used to work in a drug court (the kind of court where people who are on parole go to get outside treatment) and I helped dozens of people get their life back on track through various programs. I tried to get my brother into them, but he moved out of state before anything could happen.

I wish he had gotten help (or still would get help). But I can't force him to do anything, especially now that we are so distant. However, it sounds like he's not on drugs, and he has a lady who is responsible, so I should count all the blessings. Perhaps this will be the time that everything changes.

Christmas in our new state is both cool and lonely. Lots of lights. Lots of trees. No friends or family. More time for writing! At least, until we're super good friends with the board game people, lol

Other than that, my bathroom exploded. It was a bummer. >.>

I hope everything is cool with you guys! Anyone doing anything great for Christmas? I hope so!
