Moving

Hello, my dears!

Sorry I haven't written anything for a long time, I've been busy moving to another country. My husband and I moved to Serbia.

We were very nervous and worried for the last couple of months, because we didn't know what awaited us and how the trip would go, whether the small amount of money we had saved would be enough for this, and I was feverishly trying to earn as much as possible before the flight.

Well, our move is partially complete. Only partially because we are now in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. But due to the fact that I can't afford the rent and food that this city offers, in 3 days we will be heading to a cheaper city to live in.

The worries about the flight itself were not confirmed, everything went smoothly, which I am incredibly happy about. It was a long flight, about 10 hours in total, since we flew with a transfer and a three-hour wait at the airport for the second flight.

As soon as we arrived and got some sleep, we went for a walk and we were delighted, Belgrade is very beautiful! Narrow multi-level streets, buildings that stand close to each other, diverse architecture, little advertising on the streets and very friendly and welcoming people.

I think that it will take us a long time to legalize here, since it is not very simple, but I think we can handle it. In addition, my husband and I want to learn the Serbian language, since it is very beautiful and most importantly, we will understand what people are telling us 😅 At the moment, we communicate with locals in English, it is fortunate that many here speak it (our level of spoken English is low, it is enough for understanding and simple dialogues, but we will need to improve our knowledge in this area).

The only thing that scared me a little is that taxes are quite high here compared to the places where we used to live and it looks like I will need to work more, but staying here is worth it. As for the Haldir sword, I didn't have time to start working on it before the flight (please forgive me for that), but I want to try to do it in the coming days.

On December 17th we will have to rent a place to live (we will live in a friend's apartment before that) and after that, I think I will be able to start returning to work fully.

Perhaps my story is a little chaotic and crumpled, this is because I have been through a lot lately and the stress has exhausted me, but I really wanted to share my story with you. Now I am gradually getting better, I hope that when we get the necessary documents for living here, I will become even calmer. In the last 3 years I have not had this peace, I hope that now is the moment when everything is changing for the better, at least we are doing everything possible for this.
