Why You Should Be Making A Mockup! || (And also I guess 15 minutes of me whining about this pattern)

I think that sometimes we are just so excited to get started on a new project, that we end up skipping over the all important mock-up stage. (I have certainly done just that a time or two in the past!) But I don't think I have even *once* made a mock-up that didn't improve the quality of the final end product. It always helps to test the fit, and give your hands a chance to practice putting all the pieces together.
Do you tend to make mock-ups for your projects? Or do you tend to just go for it, diving right into your final fabric?
