Finally figured out the starting point for this mount.

This is the fourth version of extrusion arrangements I've tried for this mount and it's the first one I'm happy about, so it's what I'm going to attempt to release a easy to build at home version of. Once I like, design it all, beyond the bare bones blocks above I used to prototype it.

My design goal is for this to be something people can grab from the closet with one hand, clamp to their desk with the other, and go, while still being easy to put together out of common materials, adjustable, and strong enough to hold a fully loaded SR6 at full tilt.

The above image is not representative of the below dimensions of extrusion, but I should have that one done in the next few days now that my second printer is active. Second image is my rebuilt Prusa i3 MK3 producing a handle for this.

The below hardware notes may change, I'm just posting them so that if you have random hardware laying around, you can find it. I'd suggest waiting until I'm done to buy anything.

I plan to be using two 300mm pieces of extrusion, one of them cut into (roughly) 200mm and 100mm sections. This cut can be done by eye with a hand saw or dremel, as it does not need to be accurate or have a flat surface.

The 300mm piece can be mounted at a user's preferred height, and a printable vesa sized plate with angle adjustment holes slides up and down it on two t-nuts. This piece allows for height adjustment along the entire length. M5 ball retained t-nuts will be highly suggested for this. Angle adjustment will also be possible.

The 200mm piece goes between the two clamps, and the 100mm piece goes back against the table/desk to reinforce the clamp and the vertical mount. No extrusion touches the desk, and no edges of extrusion will be exposed.

I plan to use M5 button head hardware, 30mm or less unless absolutely required. M3 and M4 are possible as well. 2020 extrusion. T-nuts (no relation) are ideal, but there's many ways to mount into extrusion. Clamps are GH-201B, commonly available at amazon and aliexpress etc.
