It was a "quiet" episode but I enjoyed it, I don't need the show to be always wild like ep 9, I think it's mostly a quiet mystery series anyway. I'm on the fence for Helly, her lack of reaction to Mark having a wife is suspicious but I fully expected innie Helly to lie about her real identity, because it is embarrassing for her that she's basically a villain. Also, she is in a really difficult position now. Her outie is seemingly a nasty, selfish woman, and if her innie leaves Lumon then she will just be that nasty person all the time 😕 A very interesting question that you guys haven't really discussed is about who is the real person. And I would argue that their *innie* is actually their real selves, because it's their personality free from all social conditioning, including upbringing, and possibly traumatic life experiences. The problem in Helly's case is that her innie is a much better person. Her outie has been raised wealthy in a cult like environment. If they destroy Lumon or outlaw severance and disable the chip then she goes back to that woman and all her really awful conditioning. If they find a safe way to reintegrate and merge outie and innie would that be enough to better her outie's personality? 🤔 I'm wondering where the writing will go. For Mark it doesn't matter because he's pretty much the same dude in and out.

No, it's a mocobot. You can see it here: https://www.mrmoco.com/motion-control/bolt-x/

I think a common mistake people make with these shows is breaking their brain trying to “get ahead” and figure everything out instead of just enjoying the ride, the wonder, the mystery. I know it’s human nature to want to solve things but I find I enjoy myself more when I’m just open and receptive aka the observer instead of detective mode.

Yep. It's basically generic Tri-State area of NY/NJ/PA but they keep it generic VERY intentionally, without it actually being in one of those states. (It was filmed primarily in NJ, though.)

Not Milkshake 😂

The brilliance of the writing of 2x1 is that you WANT the answers so badly but then all the "answers" are coming from a Lumen perspective from Milkshake and you can't trust it. For me the emotional exhaustion was intentional to make you feel how Mark might be feeling with the limited information he has being an Innie

This season is EPIC.

Lock_Down

It's important to note that while this is a phenomenal show, it's also a mystery box show. You will get answers, but those answers are always gonna lead to more questions. If they gave you all the answers, there wouldn't be a show anymore.

It’s important to remember that the innies choosing to “leave” Lumon basically means their death.

You guys are in for a TREAT don’t worry

Kier, PE is a fictional city and state. I think the show creators intentionally make the outside world extremely vague so you don't get too caught up in the details. We have no idea what year it even is in this show's universe. It seems like everybody on the outside drives cars from the 1980s/90s. https://severance.wiki/kier_pe

I think the camera in the opening sequence had to be mounted on a drone.

I was in agreeance with Mason Quinn, during that season 1 episode I was getting impatient and I remember writing about it, but I said I'd give season 1 a chance till the ending and if I liked it then I'd continue to watch it and I loved the ending and I'm thoroughly enjoying this show to the point I can say I'm hooked as well.
