2025-09-03 21:23:25 +0000 UTCi've always felt this movie more as a tribute to Mamma Mia, than a fully realised sequel. Some things: Maryl Streep famously never does secuels, she agreed on a short appearance in this one just beacuse the first one she claims to be the best time she has ever had while filming a movie. Also this is why Devil wears prada 2 is a big deal, as is truly her first secuel in her career. Also little fun fact Cher originally the first option to play Tanya in the first movie. But later on the part went to Christine Baranski. I would love to see her in the role tho.
