The Projects to come throughout the next 12 months

Here you go. This is what I selected for the to-do list. Might add some sooner or later. but this is what you can expect to vote on and for me to work on mainly. I will be setting up a poll next for the 10$-20$ patreons to select 5 for everyone to vote on.

A brief overview of the fascinating 2000 year history of the Turkic peoples and culture. From nomadic steppe raiders to a middle eastern kingdom to the predominant Mediterranean superpower to a modern Europeanized republic to the current shift back into the middle east. How it's geopolitical ambitions in the modern age reflect many of its historic ambitions and what this means for our futures.

The Indian subcontinent, and the history of the world's worst colonial legacy. How 4 nations were artificially constructed out of what used to once be one. how different identities and their fanatics are tearing a subcontinent apart. How the subcontinent became it's own biggest obstacle to regional and global power. How nationalism crashes with reality. And why India matters to us all.

-How Congo shaped our century and lost

Bearly noticed by the rest of the world Russian mercenaries close to the Kremlin have throughout recent years been fighting a vicious war in the Congo to gain control of mines for Kremlin-friendly warlords. From Belgians to Americans, to Frenchmen, to Germans. Stasi Agents, Chinese businessmen, British miners, American soldiers, Cuban mercenaries, Soviet spies, Nazi war criminals,  American pilots and many many more, the Congo has been at the center of the world, with bearly anyone noticing. The reason? It's sheer enormous amount of natural wealth and resources, that should actually put the country on the same level of global importance as Saudi Arabia. But instead, it is torn apart, by all those who want what the Congo has.

-Buy my jihad

How over the course of the past 30 years the gulf states of Arabia spun an integrate network of media groups, social influencers, political benefactors, think tanks, lobbyists and interest groups that undermines social stability, democracy and security in foreign nations and pushes foreign powers into doing their dirty work for them.

-EVERYTHING Switzerland

From start to finish, a full 4000 years of history of what is the center of Europe. From Celtic tribes watching Hannibals Elephants to a group of peasants who kicked out the Austrians, to the medieval safe heaven of persecuted religious minorities, to the squabbles Napoleon invited all the way to what we have today. Perched in the center of Europe, a weird country of many languages and peoples, both isolationist and open at the same time, that also happens to be the world's only functioning confederacy.

-American Autism

How America is the origin and battleground of a culture war over pop culture and social structures which in the end is really just annoying to the rest of the world. The story of Americacentrism, how America reshapes the world through merely seeing the world from an American lens, and thereby can come across as somewhat silly and out of touch.

-How Stalin gave us magical Realism

Magical Realism is a style of literature in which a realistic setting is suddenly invaded by fantastical events that are almost too strange to believe. Due to the recent Netflix series "Narcos" and the fame of the Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez, many believe that this style of literature has its origins in Colombia and Mexico. And no doubt, many of the styles most famous and greatest novelists are Colombian and Mexican authors.

But. That's not where the style was born. The novelists who birthed this style were Czechs, Russians, and Poles. Who delved into an old and long-lasting tradition of Slavic folklore and tales to create something new and amazing in the early years of the 20th century. Czechs in an Austrian occupied state who escaped the dull realities of their lives by attempting to express their feelings through fantasy. Moscovites who under Stalin's brutal regime fled into a world of the fantastical where Stalin had no power over them. And Poles, stuck under foreign domination and cultural & social stagnation, who let their imaginations run free to imagine what could be and how their sorrow can be expressed safe from any censorship.

-Chairman Yang Automation overhang

Automation is not a thing. Andrew Yang is wrong. A simple visit to a history economics class (in particular economic developments of the West Coast US, the Southern U.S states and the U.K between 1800 and 1889) will show you why.

-Why the Olympic games are dying

The history of the Olympic games is a history of monumental corruption. it's a story of corrupt and rich Irish landowners who wanted to be treated like British aristocrats, Spanish fascists, the KGB, really stupid South American dictators, Greeks with no sense of finance, oil sheiks, and clueless Chinese officials. What was once supposed to be a friendly, happy and much celebrated coming together of nations and peoples, has by now devolved into a swamp of corruption, dictators, drugs, economic disaster, and utter stupidity.

-EVERYTHING Venezuela

2000 years of Venezuelan history. A history that will probably surprise you just as much as it did me. Pirates, slavers, German bankers, Basques, failed revolutionaries and continuous economic collapse, followed by success, followed by collapse, followed by success, followed by collapse for over 300 years, for the exact same reason, with nobody ever trying to learn from it.

-Rewind of the World Cup final of 1994

The world cup final of 1994 is remembered as one of the dullest and boring world cup finals in history. But the story of the two teams and their road through the tournament to the final is truly fascinating. Of a disciplined Brazil team, determined and desperate to win. And one of the most beautiful and creative Italian national teams of all time.

-The Forgotten War Crimes of Nazi Germany in Poland

When Poland's story is told, the holocaust often takes center stage. The bravery of the Polish army in exile is also often told. But largely forgotten and often overlooked, is the tragic yet compelling story of the Polish people. Their suffering, their resistance, their fight and how they would eventually be betrayed. A story the West has forgotten out of shame, a story revisionists often like to ignore, but a story essential to understanding why Poland was one of the most victimized and still heroic nations of the last century and why ethnonationalism is a vicious and poisonous ideology.

-Why historical accuracy is overrated

There is an entire genre of YouTubers out there dedicated to picking apart movies and videogames for every little historic inaccuracy that can be found. But I would like to instead take a moment of your time, to introduce you to one of the greatest Russian novelists of all time, and by taking the example of his utter and complete, poetic evisceration of Stalin, explain why historical accuracy is overrated.

-A walk down the Cambodian Road

Most have heard of the Cambodian genocide, but the vast majority of those don't know why. There have been many genocides throughout the last century. Driven by racial hate, ideology or just plain stupidity. And many of those genocides have also been forgotten. Not the Cambodian genocide. Yet most don't know why it is not forgotten and what made it stand out so much amongst all the other brutal crimes of the 20th century. The answer is a story of a group of people who decided to walk down an ideological road into madness to such extremes never before seen or since. This is a story of a nation, kingdom, culture, people and their ideologues who were driven by an insane ideological desire for purity collectively committed suicide. A story we should know, so it shall never repeat.

-Drugs, Guns, Banks, with Lochs & Mountains.

The Basque and Scottish people have a romanticized image in popular culture. many even see them as an oppressed people ruled over by larger Spanish and British Empires. However... if you ever traveled to either of these countries you will notice that their capital cities, Bilbao and Edinburgh are littered with the most beautiful 18th century and 19th-century architecture, built to display an ostentatious wealth.

Where did that wealth come from? it came from two nations, who despite being part of larger kingdoms, ruled from far away and being part of large empires, managed to amass an enormous amount of wealth and power through business cartels, drug smuggling, banking, or even violence in a ruthless struggle for geopolitical influence, power and wealth. A struggle in which the Scots and Basques, proved to be some of the most daring, ruthless and cutthroat when it came to getting what they wanted. Forging banking and business cartels run by aristocrats who brought down kingdoms and empires throughout a story that made them filthy rich.

-The Great Game: How China cuts you out of a Deal

The belt and Road initiative started by China is one of the most amazing and ambitious geopolitical undertakings since the end of colonialism. Far from just being another infrastructure project, or some new trade route or other, once this project is completed, it will reshape global trade in ways not seen since the opening of the Panama and Suez Canal. Creating big winners and big losers alike it will reshape our world and make a largely forgotten region of it, a key geopolitical location.

-In Defense of the Warhawk

In all my time on youtube the political conviction I hole that most people have disagreed with me on, is that I am a firm and loud advocate of a hawkish foreign policy, by both the United States and all her allies. I can count the people I encountered online who agree with me on this, on one hand, namely 3. And if you can spare a moment of your time, I will do my best to make my case for it.

-A continent of Solitude

How Latin America spent its last 200 years being subject to the whims and needs of foreign powers, from Spain to France, to America to China. how it's unfortunate position somewhat isolated it. How and why it's people leave for the North in droves. And why outsiders find it so easy to take advantage of its weaknesses.

-EVERYTHING Netherlands

How a swamp people from a small cold swamp in northern Europe, surrounded by greater powers and harsh elements, managed throughout the course of 2000 years to build a trade empire, loan shark the world's most powerful empires, bring down one of the largest empires the world ever saw. Remain independent in a whirlwind of wars and conflict. Make masses of money and continues to be one of Europe's most successful capital enterprises.

-My Political Beliefs

I have never made a video outlying my own political convictions and beliefs. Several have asked me for such. And if there is a desire for it, I will sit down to list and explain them.

-EVERYTHING Ireland

This would be my longest project, covering 8000 years of history.

-Vietnams perspectives

In recent years an enormous number of Vietnamese eyewitnesses, politicians, veterans, and historians have published works and interviews giving us their perspective of the war in Vietnam. And when you read through them you will notice that our Western perspective is completely warped by how we perceived it and how it changed us. The Vietnamese perspective might surprise you and even reveal facts to you that you might not have been aware of. Because for the Vietnamese, this was more of a civil war, than a war with America, that left deep scars in their society and was also a prelude to the continuation of a millennium-long conflict with its big bully neighbor.

-The master Survivalist

Israel's story is bearly 60 years long. but is a story of a master survivalist, who learned through defeats and victories to always under any circumstances be one step ahead of the curve.

-The problem with Israel critics

This would be more political, and it would mainly be me explaining that despite me hating Netanyahu I find it close to impossible to criticize him in an environment dominated by people who don't wish to criticize Israeli politics and politicians, but act as if the very existence of that state was a problem.

-Why nationalism fails.

Based on books by Orwell and through the study of European nations, geopolitics, and cultures, I would like to eventually make a case for why nationalism is incompatible with my liberal principles and cant form a basis for building a free society.

-How Greece won Euro 2004

I remember when Greece won the European championship of 2004 and have been somewhat fascinated with that story since. It was pretty much the ultimate underdog story. A plucky small country defeating a continents best to be crowned champions. A story definitely worth retelling.

-Reflections of an Old Gamer

I recently found that I no longer buy newly released videogames. And looked into why. This video would explain why, from increasing rubbish DLC, microtransactions to developers making their games increasingly unfriendly to modders like me.

-The Banality of Drivel

How our modern society through the 24/7 News circle developed a culture of producing drivel and purposefully misrepresenting facts.

But... how this culture of deceit is also not an entirely new phenomenon.

-The history of Corporate Corruption

Somewhat controversial, I will make the case for how Billionaires influencing politics have always been a thing. And how these days it is, in fact, less aggressive, blatant and dangerous than it was in the past.

-Antisemitism: how it differs.

An explanation for why Antisemitism is a different and more insidious kind of racism than other forms of bigotry.

-The Unkown Soldier

Some months ago I saw a video by some white nationalist jerk minimizing the role African, Indian, Malayan, Chinese, African American, and other minority group soldiers had in the second world war and always wanted to respond to that in some way with an in-depth overview of their history.

-Unfunnyman

A video on why I despise the culture of news comedians around people like John Oliver and why they ultimately are counterproductive for society and unintentionally helped produce morons like Alex jones.

-The Stupidity of political symbols.

The title kinda gives away what this is about.

-Antifa, origins, and dangers

How Antifa is neither a political movement or activist group, or even a terrorist group. But just a bunch of hooligans unaware that they are nothing but a side effect of a cold war Soviet destabilization program, and anti-communist Nato operation that both failed 40 years ago.

And how they inadvertently drag the good names of the real antifascists of 70 years ago through the muck and mud.

-Schrödingers Antisemite

how antisemitism is on the rise through the far right, far left, and Islamists. But nobody commits to doing something about it, because to everyone there only exists a Schrödingers antisemite, namely the antisemites amongst those I disagree with, but never those amongst my in-group.

-A journey through European cuisine

I always wanted to make a video about how various foods of Europe traveled and mixed and how different food cultures border each other.

-The Great Paper Bear

How Russia can bully half of Europe despite being a complete clusterfuck.

Comments

Late to the party here but please do Ireland!

Also the story of Argentina, how one of the richest countries in the world at the beginning of the 20th century, turned into a complete basket case by 2001, would be a good potential video idea

Interventionism is so unpopular among people on the internet that the video advocating for a hawkish foreign policy will be of interest.
