A video snap election.
Added 2019-11-06 22:38:32 +0000 UTCAs I continued work on the video about neo-Ottomanism I realized that this video will in all likelihood be longer than even the previous one. This video could quite possibly be up to 2 hours long when finished. And since the last 1-hour video took a month and 3 weeks to finish. I cant keep working on it alone. The income from patreon is important to my finances, and when I don't make a video, it bites my ass. So, I have to put the Turkey video aside for a moment and work on a different 15-minute project that I can post on patreon for November.
Here is a list of projects you can vote from, of which I am certain the resulting videos will be only 20 minutes long at maximum and 12 minutes long at a minimum:
In defense of the hawk: A video that would be giving a little more insights into how I see the world. Specifically, I will be trying to defend my hawkish foreign policy opinions. Give recent examples of why I believe one should have a Hawkish foreign policy. And will challenge some popular pacifist notions.
The dictator's downfall: As many subscribers asked how one deals with foreign dictators and authoritarian powers, this video would examine a couple of authoritarian regimes of the past, how their demise came to be, and why all dictatorships have one common flaw.
The Great Paper Bear: A brief summary of Russian aggression in Europe over the course of 400 years. And why those who believe Russia is an innocent, isolationist or even pacifist nation are just flat out wrong. BUT, how Russia is also weaker than many may think.
How to build and deconstruct a Nation: How languages, culture and differences shape nations, but also are tools by which they can fall appart. Examples: Scotland, Ireland, Russia, Italy, France.
The graveyard of Empires: Why Vietnam looks super delicious to invaders. But everyone who tries, finds out the hard way that it isn't.
Why Germany is overrated: How the economic power of Germany that developed throughout the last 150 years can just as simply evaporate. How other European powers can just as well take it's place and have in the past.
The Slavic Origins of Magical Realism: how one of the most famous and most read schools of literature, actually has it's origins in Russia, not in South America.

Have you thought about breaking the Turkey video into two or three parts? I find it easier to work with YouTube's interface if I'm able to finish a video in one sitting, and it's hard for me to find two or three consecutive hours like that.

2019-11-07 05:10:48 +0000 UTCAs a libertarian I'll have some opinions about hawkishness, though I used to believe in more of a hawkish approach myself. I'll be interested to hear your thinking. That being said, anything that upsets a Just So Story about a literary genre is going to be delicious.
