Scales & Shadows Hiatus Announcement

Hi all,

First of all, I want to thank you for your support for this series which has gotten so little comparative attention. You've doubtless noticed the lack of new chapters and the space between when they do come out. S&S is difficult to write for me, and unfortunately I need to take an extended (potentially permanent) break from the series.

There are also a lot of other ideas I want to write, but I just can't because I feel like I have to "catch up" with Scales & Shadows first.

Scales & Shadows will get one (maybe two) more chapters this month, the first of which should release in the next 48 hours. After that, Scales & Shadows will go on hiatus. Sovereign of Wrath will be unaffected.

As for those other ideas? I have something in the works, something that I've managed to put some time and effort into and make some progress on the past few months. I was hoping to somehow get it ready to go so I could smoothly transition from one story to the other, but I am GOING to completely burn out if I try to make that happen.

I apologize for waiting so long to post this---I was scared, to be honest.

The Emerald Scale tier is now unpublished and will close with the last Scales & Shadows chapter release, which will be before February. The Sovereign Demon tier is also unpublished, and I recommend everyone shift to Patron Demon until I have the content to justify the higher tier again.
