I just said that the first art in a new fandom is always a little meh, and I usually tell myself I'm just getting started so there's room to improve, but I'd say I may be hitting things off on a high note here.
I'll keep things spoiler free-ish as much as I can, for those who said they wanted to give the books a go, too! You'll probably overtake me in a week, lol. I've still got 37 hours ahead of me in the first book. XD
Kaladin tries to save one of his fellow bridgemen, refusing to abide by the unwritten laws of bridge crews - that they die like flies, that it's no use even learning their names, much less try to keep any alive. Syl, his little spren friend, flies beside him. The things on the ground are pain spren, attracted by the blood and pain of battle. I LOVE Sanderson's world building. Ideas for ten worlds, and he packs them all in one.
