It feels like escapism to me like the hurt of being left and feeling broken is too much so we go mad, like how sometimes if your so hurt and upset that crying turns to laughter because of the madness of it all, kinda like in the lyrics where they say every song feels like another sad song because they’re hurting but at the end they flip it and say you’ll miss me at some point and then every song will feel like another sad song to you, to me the vibe of the song feels like they’re trying to cover up their hurt with an up beat dance track to distance themselves from to pain but the undertone is still very much there showing they’re struggling at least that what I got from it :)
