About February Content + Progress Update

Hi guys! Since January I started a production chain of illustration/animation for IWH hiring help. It's going well, but this mean that it has delayed the content as I needed to train the artist and my drawings had to be done in advance.

The new artist has to work after I provide him with the drawings while I focus on drawing the next illustration. As expected, he will take more time than I do with coloring and polishing in my style at the beginning. I know from experience, is a painful job! In the long run this will reduce my workload.

Since this Patreon inception, 2 years ago, every month I've posted new updates without missing. Sadly, I cannot keep the output any more as I'm burning out. I've been the sole and only maker of this game (writing, illustrating, scripting, coding, graphic design, marketing, social media, etc.) and it's tolling on me. To fix it I've hired help for coloring/polishing illustrations and making animations, and I'm hiring for more positions. I could hire more artists and increase the content output of IWH, but with the cost of having inconsistent illustrations.

Delayed December and January content

December and January members will receive the promised content on their Patreon direct messages no matter when I post it even if your are not longer a member:

All will be posted on February.

February content

I want to have a clear and consistent monthly schedule, so you know the exact date when to expect the update. To achieve it I need to first make the delayed content and also make new content ahead of time. That's impossible at the current state. That's why on February, I'll mainly work on making the missing January content. I'll only make a small February update.

This way on March we'll finally get a normal schedule.

New Game

I've also hired a new team to help me make more games while I focus on IWH. I hope to have a production chain that allows me make all the games I've been cooking inside my mind. In a few months you'll have a demo of this new game. Managing and training a new team also took me away from IWH for a few weeks. Building a business at the same time of making content is no easy task, but if I don't do it, you'll never get more content in the future.

I'm currently hiring

I have this positions open in case anyone is interested. You can send me a message to my discord.

Thank you

Thank you all for being so patient and allowing me to make this game at my own pace. You are the reason IWH can achieve the quality I strive for.

I also want to thank the fans that helped me a lot: NTR Sommelier (PT translation) and Devious (Proofreading).

Comments

The actual reason is that I can't produce 1 month worth of content in 1 month so everything has delayed progressively for months up to this point. The second reason is that hiring help takes longer on the short term because any production chain has to be done with anticipation. So to publish content for March I have to finish it on February.

So you hired people to keep up, and that’s the reason you’re 2 months behind? That doesn’t make sense.

Hang in there!

You are right. I haven't take a vacation since starting development. I'll considered more.

Thanks for understanding. I always valued consistency so I tried to be like that to the best of my abilities.

I actually dont mind delays as long as you are foward and communicate them. You do a good job at that, so for people like me, you dont have to stress to much about it. Keep up the good work. I also recommend you take a vacation or something if you need to. Most people take off 3-4 weeks a year for vacation. You can too.

I'm happy to hear that you have expanded. I can't wait to see more of your ideas and I hope with this team behind you it lessen the burnout you have been feeling. Your consistency and content has always been amazing so if you need some extra time to get things situated it is understandable and I'm not complaining as I know you always deliver. I just want to say thank you for all the hard work you have put in and I really can't wait to see how everything works out.
