This could be an Elden Ring situation (I'm a lore nerd) where entities who essentially are gods are trying to infiltrate and conquer these lands. So maybe that's why the gates suddenly appeared 10 years ago (Like the Erdtree), since we don't know how and why they're there. Jinwoo becomes a soldier for the other side in a ritualistic sacrifice and he's getting stronger and proving his usefulness right now (Like Queen Marika to the Greater Will). And the system is maybe designed as a directive from this "god." (Like the Two Fingers) And he'll ultimately be used by it to conquer Earth (again, like Queen Marika) and allow the entity to come through the gate? But if Jinwoo chooses to go against the system, wouldn't the system just snatch away all of his power and his life? And would the system see his dad as a threat if he has this knowledge of what it would be up to and could try to help Jinwoo fight against it? Do you think it would make Jinwoo kill him? Oh my god, I knew they were cooking beneath the surface, but it's gotten so messy so QUICKLY and we aren't even THERE yet, lmao. All I know is that as powerful as Jinwoo might be, he's a puppet right now. I'm trying to see who's holding the strings and what's behind the curtain.

Back in episode one, they were in a dungeon where the boss was referred to as “god” and Jinwoo died on the altar like a sacrifice. Indeed it could be true that he’s become part of the other side without even realising it but might be the difference between calamity and harmony. Perhaps it could be like he becomes a demon lord like the leader of those on the other side of the gates (and that could be the system’s intention) but him breaking away from that and trying to use his abilities for humanity might be his ultimate struggle? Something along those lines? Mmmmmmmmm

My theory is that I don't think Jinwoo is the system's means against the threat, I think Jinwoo might BE the threat and that the system is facilitating the slow degradation of Jinwoo's humanity to turn him into that threat. We saw how quickly he turned another human hunter into a shadow soldier. So are we getting Jinwoo vs his dad at some point and Jinwoo actually turns into the villain?????? Cause that would be INSANE. Hmmmmmm.

Even the Tank lmao Great ep. I'm actually really loving where this show is going. I was worried at the end of season one how quickly things scaled. But season 2 hasn't really slowed that down and its still working for me. And wanted a pet bear feels like a universal thing. I love Tank lol

And the reason jinwoo left the tower wasn’t for food but because he collected all the souls so the mission was over and it had already been a week which was what he promised his sister

One thing I think you missed was in the demon castle, Jinwoo cant extract the shadows of the demons because their mana is contaminated. It was a quick system pop up that showed up that explained it right before he got on tank. Thats why it doesnt show him trying to extract the shadows of the bosses in the castle. Its been confirmed that Solo Leveling will have 5 total seasons and a movie. So there is plenty to look forward to. I will just say, keep cooking and theorizing. All the questions you have will be answered in time. If you are on the mark or way off, time will tell.
