Diffuse outdoor light like when it's overcast is some of the best and easiest to work with. You can't control the weather, though, and direct sunlight can make hard shadows or not be from the desired direction, etc.. Sometimes it's better to just create your own lighting environment. Also, this might be my favorite picture of you.
