I tried Meta's new AR glasses (ad-free version!)
Added 2024-12-22 13:50:34 +0000 UTCHi folks, instead of a big BTS video/post, I thought I would remove the 2-minute Notion and YouTube ads from this video and give you a brief BTS rundown. Sadly, Patreon doesn't support 4k videos; I hope 1080 is ok!
I shot all of the Orion footage on my Osmo Pocket 3 with a DJI Mic Mini, which I think I will also take to CES. It is nimble yet doesn't sacrifice quality. However, I did make the mistake of forgetting to remove the ND filter inside Meta's offices. The indoor footage starts to show some grain, but luckily, it wasn't too bad.
This was my first solo hands-on experience as well! The goal was to keep it moving yet feel like you and I were going together. I hoped to do this by being a bit more loose in my pre-demo rant about AR, showing me moving the camera around during the demo, and then giving some unfiltered thoughts afterward. I would love some feedback! What worked? What didn't?
It's all a giant test for CES, really ;)
