I find it harder to do quick figurative gestures of really fit, trained physiques than softer or curvier figures. I also enjoy rounder shapes than more angular ones, which is one reason why I prefer sketching femme individuals - although it is not a prerequisite to be femme identifying for rounder shapes, by no means.
So that's something I've got to work on improving!
Learning the figure requires diversity in as many ways as one can achieve. We all have phases as creatives, but through them, over time, explore variety as much as possible. Learn from everything. I know I want to.
