Tungsten radiation shields - bulletproof?
Added 2020-09-03 21:39:31 +0000 UTCJorge who works in a radiology lab sent us two heavy and expensive tungsten plates (unknown exactly how these are used) for us to shoot. The results were actually quite impressive.

2020-09-04 02:32:12 +0000 UTCW is notoriously brittle for a metal. Do not work with plate much, but have broke a lot of W wire. Ever test WC plates, harder than W but still brittle.

2020-09-03 22:15:48 +0000 UTCWhat if you placed a thin plate of this stuff (thinner then these) in front of Kevlar almost like they do ceramic for lvl 4 armor ? It seems like this plate would absorb a lot of the energy while fragmenting the round so the Kevlar can catch it like ceramics.
