Tungsten radiation shields - bulletproof?

Jorge who works in a radiology lab sent us two heavy and expensive tungsten plates (unknown exactly how these are used)  for us to shoot.   The results were actually quite impressive.

Tungsten radiation shields - bulletproof?

No chainsaw bayonet? That's right, they're illegal in Kalifornia.

Giggles more like it. Glad she's on the show.

I hearby rename Brianna as: Chuckles

@TAOFLEDERMAUS No worries about this one not giving me a notification, I got one last time, so no fault of yours. Great video as always. Thank you very much ^^

W is notoriously brittle for a metal. Do not work with plate much, but have broke a lot of W wire. Ever test WC plates, harder than W but still brittle.

Oh I don't think much affects the tungsten. A few very strong acids can damage them.

We really don't know Breanna that well yet and what she can do. For every shooter, my goal is to make sure they are safe, understand the recoil might be bad and all that. I was really surprised how well she handled that shot.

Breanna needs to coordinate OG's hair and nails for the next shoot.

What if you placed a thin plate of this stuff (thinner then these) in front of Kevlar almost like they do ceramic for lvl 4 armor ? It seems like this plate would absorb a lot of the energy while fragmenting the round so the Kevlar can catch it like ceramics.

Breanna is such a trooper for shooting those dumbbells from the ballistic machinist. Crazy how tough yet brittle that stuff is

Hmm what else to use these plates for. ;) One question is were these used radiation shields? If so did the radiation make them more brittle?
