Russian "SHOT-MINI" 12ga Slug - Grenade-like expansion
Added 2021-04-19 20:06:52 +0000 UTCVery interesting defense slug that behaves like a huge "varmint grenade" when impacting flesh/water/gel. These are pretty new and I haven't found any load data on them. Like many tests, I have to start from scratch and guestimate what velocity they might perform well at. In this test, I think they would have been more accurate at 1200 fps or so instead of 1500. The slugs were cast using Bulletmolds AS-company, mold. They have oddball names for their slugs. I'm sure with more testing, the accuracy can get dialed in. They are accurate-enough at defense ranges.

For a home defense, F'k you in particular round, loading them hot might not be a bad thing, the gelatin targets show how quickly they expand. I'm curious how well a slightly slower version will reach out and touch a target. And congrats to the future parents.
