Testing the Russian ANFEROV BULLET

We are back filming after a couple weeks of too-many reasons for not filming.   We test out some Russian discarding sabot slugs,  which were pretty tricky to get a decent powder load for.   It was hard to find a compatible American powder for this one to function but we thought outside the  box to make it work.

Oh, how you would use is to mix into the powder charge evenly dry. Or, why you just didn't use black powder in OG's new Beretta ! Army did this on some of the older Grenade rounds for the 40mm M203 and M79... I think the last round to use was in Frank Dindl's original Sponge Grenade Less Lethal 40mm the Army at Picatinny and Aberdeen developed in the late 1990s... but it caused so much fowling they went back so some double base... Marines hated the stuff.

Jeff you might look into acquiring a filler/emulsifier for reducing propellant density... always be careful. I have not tried this but Ceramic microspheres may be just the ticket you are looking for, I could probably dig some up if I can remember where I put several barrels full... purchased for my mom for a household project. In explosives or propellants they work as an emulsifier... and there is the idea of making propellant in the form of microspheres... https://patents.google.com/patent/CN103708985A/en Here are some links explaining use of emulsifiers in rocket propellants https://patents.google.com/patent/CA2261402A1/en Emulsification of propellant gas... https://patents.google.com/patent/US2524590A/en 3M makes... https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/c/advanced-materials/ceramics/white-microspheres/

As if they would supply that....

He has started chemo and will need to go in once a week for that. The only thing he asked for is some help to pay travel expenses so far. He said he might want to make a video explaining what is going on.

Not much more news since the last post. He'll be having to go in for chemo once a week for a while.

We shot a few of them a month or so ago and saw the problems we had. I then re-loaded the rest with a few different variations to try to deal with the overpressure.

Very interesting and I enjoyed the creator's video at the end. I'm curious, did you make powder adjustments right there in the field or take it home, make the changes and come back to see the results later?

Aaron Neumeyer

Time to reach out to the ATF and see about getting some Russian powder!
