2 Bullets in One Case? - The Weird 45-70 Duplex Round - Tested!
Added 2022-09-30 23:39:32 +0000 UTCToday we test out a round that shoots 2 bullets at one time. This is the legendary duplex bullet found in the book "Forty Years of the 45-70". There was always a lot of speculation of how these functioned but finally we are able to see what happens using a Chronos high speed camera.

I don't know how long your giant gummy-bear is going to stay clean but I just had a fun thought on how to mark off your shot order. You could stuff different color normal sized gummy-bears in the holes after each shot. Gummybear-ception

2022-10-01 10:34:40 +0000 UTCJeff and OG - Nice rounds from Nick Ross... Perhaps the bullets were cast on the soft side so that resulted in the deformation of the front bullet. Wonder if we used Linotype to reduce the deformation. But then there would be increase in accuracy, but decrease in expansion. I have shot three round balls in the 45/70 and got some good spreads at 25 yards. But once the range goes out to 50, the spreads are too severe to gain any usefulness. However, at short range, they literally would chew out the black in just a few rounds. Nice video from the TAO crew..!! Best Regards, Steve
