Supersonic Shotgun BUBBLE GUM Bullets - We test them!

We have a fun video today where we shoot .69 caliber bubble gum bullets.  I asked my Facebook followers if any of them could help film this video with me and actually got a few people who will willing to drive out on short-notice and help out.  It's one thing to stuff random things in a shotgun,  but to make them ballistically-stabile and accurate is a bit more difficult.

They are too light on their own to get enough back pressure to ignite the powder. I doubt they'd be accurate enough to hit anything beyond 10 feet

I believe all our barrels are 1 in 27. .44 turn in 1 foot.

How about just a shot cup loaded? How much damage can they do?

I found it nothing less than AMAZING that those bubble guN (!) projectiles didn't fly apart - at 37,000 (!) RPM. How in the heck did they withstand that much rotational force? That's 6 times the red line of a sports car engine. Wow. Just wow. You musta chewd 'em reel good like . . . Man, every video you do is an eye-opener - like the eye on that squash. Edit: 1,300 f/s with a 1:36 twist should be 1347/3/s*60, or 26,940 RPM - were some of the shells loaded hotter (1,850 f/s)? Or is your barrel a different twist rate? Looked like you had a Remington 870. And really - Cole's Law? Ow.
