Is a .50 Cal. CO2 Gun suitable for SELF-DEFENSE? Torpedo Revolver!

Today we test out the Mercury Rise TR-50 revolver using a variety of ammo and try to determine if it would be a good option for self-defense.   The gun is considered  "less lethal"  meaning there is less of a chance of killing someone with it.   Maybe you hate guns or you just can't legally own one.  Maybe you live in an apartment.  Maybe you have kids that you worry might access a firearm.   There's lots of good reasons why this might be a good option.    Just remember that you have no idea what the intentions a home intruder may have and if they are armed or not.   You must assume they are there to harm you because you only have one chance to get it right to protect your most sacred things in your life,  your loved ones.    The gun and ammo was supplied to me by Mercury Rising but no money was given to me.

I would prefer a non-lethal weapon for defense, because the taking of someone's life is a very serious matter. It is so both from an ethical point of view, and from a legal point of view. In the current electrically-charged world of jurisprudence, you are taking your own fate and the fate of your family in hand when you kill someone - even in self-defense; few can afford the astronomical legal bills required just to return to a life of normalcy. And then you are faced with the prospect of a civil suit, and finally with the reality that you've taken someone's life. But any non-lethal weapon must also be a sure-fire immediate incapacitation weapon - because you don't want the life taken to be yours or that of one of your family. In the scheme of things, the life of a criminal must rank below that of the law-abiding, so the criminal is forcing you into a no-win situation. Yes to non-lethal; but only if it is instantly and overpoweringly effective as a man-stopper. And this solution isn't it.
