Brian's WILD Quad-Bolo Slug

Gregg is back and he brought a friend with him named Lonzo. I'm hoping to have Lonzo out as he is quite enthusiastic about helping me out. Hopefully I don't have to do too many more solo filmings and I can stay behind the camera and do my job there.

Given the spin rate, tying the cables together in the center of the epoxy would probably stabilize the projectile - or at least add to its radial symmetry and consistency - and fan out on impact as the "wadcutter" of resin came apart. It's surprising that the cable didn't pull out of the brass barrel nuts, rather than break off as it did - pretty strong connection. Interesting video, as always.

Well it is a prototype. Good job working up the loads. If needed I do have a lot of supplies for reloading the shells or doing other gauges

Great to see OG! And Lanzo did great! It would be cool to see if a new prototype was made based on these results! The resin and cables clearly cannot handle the velocity. But, the slug clearly proved to be a devastating round to the targets, so with a few tweaks, it could be perfect!

Always love when OG comes out to play with the boys! I have a big block of lead, I'd love to send it somehow but I'm sure shipping will cost an arm and a leg.

I wonder if the resin heated up in the sun making it more fragile? Or, maybe some rounds had cables too close to the outer edge and the spin caused them to break free too easily. Or a combination. Just spit-balling. Great work guys! .... I typed this before you said you tried to cool them down. My bad.
