Using layers in PDF files

To control the different print options I am using layers. When you open a PDF file you might not see the layers window. To turn it visible, you have to click the red highlighted icon. Then the blue layer box appears.

Now you can see all the different layers and turn them on or off as required. When a layer has an eye icon in the little square box it is visible. When you click it off, the eye disappears.

Using the layers you can turn on/off dirt, color shadings (bleached, lighter etc.) or texture options (wood fill A or B or none of them for example).

I use to print with the fold layer turned off. That way I don't have the dotted lines across the texturing. The fold hints layer activated will give you lines outside of the part that will let you know where to score.
