I was really excited at the idea of watching a show as it freshly came out, so I decided to keep this one a little secret to see if I had time/energy to actually sneak it in. And now here we are!
Watching this first episode of Season 2 felt like stepping right back into that haunting infected filled world, but yet something huge had shifted. Right away, the tone felt heavier. You just know that the storm inside of Ellie has been brewing since we left her and Joel at the end of Season 1. The characters are older, wearier, and carry way more than just their physical scars now. And the pacing felt deliberately intimate... That scene with Joel in the therapist's house!? Jeeeez. It's clear this season is going to hit hard, and I'm not really sure I'm ready for it. But I'm all in.

2025-04-16 19:54:45 +0000 UTCOne thing to remember is that Ellie can easily be killed by infected as they can rip her to shreds or she can bleed out. The only way that they can't kill her is by being infected. She has some protection but she's never safe.

2025-04-15 23:33:50 +0000 UTCI agree that the show is so well done but without the cast being so good as actors, to me that's what really makes it work. Pedro Pascal can express so much with just his facial expressions. It's a good thing that you didn't watch the after the credits part if you want nothing to be spoiled for you! Oh and one last thing, this is all a surprise for me, I have never played any of the games. Never much cared for zombie games personally but I don't have a fear of them (no shade to you :) ) I used to be an avid watcher of The Walking Dead until it started to seem to just repeat itself.
