Dev Vlog 002 (and talking about life)

Sorry this one is so long. I just got into a groove. I don't expect anyone to get to the end.

The TL;DR is that writing is going well and I've reached at least a solid half-way point. Self-motivation isn't great fuel. I need a social group. Online discourse is scary. People need to love each other better. Xenoblade 3 sucks.

You know, I agree and we should try hanging out sometime. We almost did once but I just happened to be at peak anxiety and never followed up. Maybe we should get back to that. Space Engineers was on the table at the time. I think it did too before the over-commercialization of YouTube, the death of Vine, and before Discord allowed community segregations to be so acute that you have to find a backdoor invitation, sometimes given directly instead of in a general post. You kind of already have to be in, that's how cliques work. Only now you can't even find them.

Actually, I was sitting in my chair playing Elden Ring on my Steam Deck while listening to this on my computer. >_> I do think we have a lot in common, personality/values-wise. And it definitely does suck to be in the minority in matters of taste. From a purely economic standpoint, they are often underserved markets, but the ROI from them is low enough that it's hard for them to get quality stuff. And that's ignoring other types of minorities and other, non-economic factors. I feel like Internet community worked better back in the day, before the juggernauts of Facebook, Twitter, and (I think?) Reddit came along and obliterated more individual fan forums and the like.
