Melanie's Stubby Legs (Paid Post #2)

 Melanie always had stubby legs. Short little stems that she felt just didn't fit her body. It didn't only make her feel short but it made her feel like a freak with a huge torso and tiny little stubs. She was sitting in her living room in her pajamas which had been rolled up so that her feet could poke out the bottom and the legs didn't get filthy while she was walking around.
 She plopped herself down on the couch and turned on some late TV. During the commercials she saw an ad for a wish hot line, It was just like a psychic hot line Only rather than the operator telling the caller what they wanted to hear in a phony accent, they granted wishes.
 Melanie picked up the phone and dialed cautiously. The line immediately answered with a tone and music. A deep voice bellowed from the other side of the line. “What. Is. Your. Wish?”
 A chill ran down her spine. Her body froze. She forced herself to talk. “I, I, I wish I had, Um” Melanie stopped, then she shook her head. She was being silly.  So she just blurted it out. “I wish I had the longest legs in the world.”
 The booming voice said “Wish. Granted” and the line disconnected.
 Melanie chuckled, she knew nothing would happen. She laughed a bit at herself as she scratched the inside of her knee. She wiggled her toes and noticed that they were stretching a bit as she did. She scratched some more. For some reason they were really itching. It seemed like the more she scratched, the more her feet seemed to stretch away from her body.   
 Melanie blinked, this couldn't actually be happening could it? Her pajama bottoms were riding up passed her knees, she squeed in excitement. It really was happening! She stripped off her bottoms and tried to stand up as she felt her body ascending up and up and up.   
 Melanie officially had the Longest legs ever! And they didn't seem to be stopping growing either, She had nearly doubled in height, but something seemed off. Nothing seemed to be slowing down. Her body slammed against the ceiling and she fell down on the carpet.   
 Her legs finally stopped stretching. Melanie looked down. Her legs stretched all the way out to the other room. She looked down at them and realized what she had done, She wished she had the longest legs in the world and now her knees would tower over a giraffe's. In fact that's exactly what happened. Stubby Melanie had acquired the legs of a giraffe, the longest legs in the world.
